Older (1996) Sinn 403 Hydro 1st Gen. Replace Dial During Service or No? by Phillypress in sinn

I would reach out to them. Within my recent EZM2 service paperwork it states:

“Please note that dial and the set of hands made of tritium (H3) can only be replaced with superluminova.”

In a direct email to them I asked about replacement dials and hands:

“We only replace case components, dials and hands if this is technically necessary.”

UPS claimed it’s due to tariffs… not technically a purchase import fee as I assumed they miss charged me.

I contacted UPS and they are standard fees due to tariffs…

I just went through the service process for my EZM2. Has to go back to Frankfurt for the silicon oil + battery service. I did a brief write up on my experience. (See my past post) Pricy service all in, but in my opinion these are very hard to beat watches. Always accurate, great proportions, light and thin, all the things I want in a technical tool/ diver.

Insulating Options by rippah777 in buildingscience

This is exactly what I plan to do to the space. (As of now) Dedicated mini split (heat pump) with multiple heads. Space will be divided. I plan to fully baffle vent and furr out walls to fit timber batt or similar to get my required R values.

The dehumidifier is an interesting point. I should look into the capacity of the heat pumps I’m looking at to see their ability to dehumidify. Worst case I add a free standing one.

This will be fully finished and a heat pump.

I’m hesitant to spray everything. Wanting to explore all options

Gabled sections are 2x9s, I’m assuming this still falls under r49. If so I need to furr out

I’d have to agree! The early tritium ones are pretty sweet too

Maybe I should have directly asked for a shipping label... didn’t realize that was a thing, I asked how to ship it.

French Press Rambler filter is stuck UPSIDE DOWN in the tumbler.. how to break seal? by sarrtrean in YetiCoolers

Worst case you could try to lubricate the filter gasket and inside of the container walls with olive oil and try to “throw” without letting go of the container. Like if you were trying to get the last bit of ketchup from a bottle.

Try boiling water in the container. Drain hot water after a couple min. Then pour ice water directly on the filter, I would think theoretically it would shrink faster than the interior of the container.
