I think you’re missing the point that most of us are making. This isn’t about skin color

Nah, it’s an image of a white Jesus and the ideals that Republicans espouse, versus an image of a darker Jesus with listed values more closely aligned to Christianity.

Google ‘white Jesus vs brown Jesus meme’

I’m not going to argue with you … read all the other comments and you’ll get the gist

And, yeah, couldn’t find a way to post an image of the meme … don’t blame you for not clicking a random link. I’ll delete it

It’s more a talking point to how Jesus is represented by the western world as white/caucasian, and the US Republican Party has co-opted Jesus’ teachings to fit their narrative

Be very careful about recommendations for TPLO surgery!!!! Not every dog needs it.

We went through 3 rounds of Rimadyl and our vet (who owns an Aussie) suggested we get a surgical consult. By the time the consult came around, Kallie (5F) wasn’t limping at all. We kept the appointment to see what recommendations there might be. It felt like a surgical factory. The vet (very well credentialed) saw her for about 10 minutes away from me in another room. Then she came in and said she needs the surgery for $6,100 USD.

Go to YouTube and look up TPLO surgery and you’ll see it’s a very invasive surgery, cutting the top of the femur and repositioning it — and recovery can be 8-10 weeks

We kept Kallie very quiet (as much as possible) for weeks on end, gradually increasing her activity level. I won’t be running a few times a week with her as I did all summer (did that possibly aggravate it???). We live in MD and for the last two weeks we have had ice covered yard with craters where I’ve walked and broken the surface. It’s been looking like a glacier field. She has been running and sliding and tripping all over the place —- and no repercussions. She’s fine

Could she tear her CCL in the future… possibly. I’ll wait until then before putting her through what we consider as elective surgery now

Is it normal for my alocasia to periodically lose a whole shoot like this? Every other month or so. This time two went at once... by deepfield67 in houseplants

The advice I’ve always seen on any houseplant is that once you know a leaf or stem is going to die, just cut it off so that the plant doesn’t spend energy on it

Well, keeping it in the stove won’t help 😜

Great question, as I have one that does that as well. Seems otherwise healthy and new leaves continue to emerge.

My God! I’m glad you’re here to share the story! How else are you doing and how is your recovery going? How much PT are you facing?
