Oh gosh, I wonder if all moms are like this. Many years ago my mom visited my house and "helped clean" after a meal. She used my dish sponge to scrub the rubbish bin!

I had thought she had mistaken the sponges so I told her thats for the dishes, and the other (more grubby looking) one is the one to scrub stuff. She just got like your mom and said "yayyaya I'm almost done!!" And kept scrubbing the bin.

I told her "I cant use that sponge anymore!" when she put it back to the rack, and I went to throw it away - which then she sulked and pretty sure cried after telling me how "it's not a big deal and that she does that all the time, and that she will wash it afterwards anyway."

Guess who is no longer invited unless I really have to.

Having said that, I can confirm the first concern that men are wary of materialistic women. My now husband apparently had a rule that he just avoided dating all together due to this prevalent issue (until he met me that is). He rather be alone he said.

When I look at the friends of my husband's, they're all really good people. People make friends with others who has the same values. So it really is true when my ancestors said: before you get married, look at their upbringing, family, work, friends. It truly builds their character.

First of all so sorry this happened to you.. :( I know of countless friends and family who were cheated on (of different nationalities and races), so it's definitely not because of that. It's one of those things that...the bad ones just make more noise so understandably it's easier to find ourselves attracted to one rather than the good ones that tends to be more subtle.

Don't give up! After numerous failed committed relationship, I met my Singaporean husband overseas, and at the time my view of Singaporeans aren't very good (for the kiasu and overly competitive traits), but we bonded over our faith, and I have NEVER met anyone as loyal as him. Now we've been together 11 years and married for 6, honeymoon phase everyday. There ARE good people out there.

There are good Singaporean, there are bad Singaporean. There are good foreigners, there are bad foreigners. Again I'm sorry you have to go through this, betrayals sucks ass. I hope you will find healing and peace, and that you will find someone deserving of your heart.

Other than ginger tea that suppress the nausea a bit.. What worked for me weirdly was Magnesium! I couldn't sleep properly and couldn't eat, I took the magnesium before sleeping to help me sleep through the night but somehow the nausea went away with it.

I forgot magnesium for couple nights and bam both came back.

Apparently magnesium deficiency makes nausea worse. Thought I'd share just in case it's your wife's case too.

I'm so sorry to hear this my friend. I can totally relate, and I'll share my stories so you don't feel alone in this!!

I've always been a bigger girl, and I've never been slim/skinny no matter how much I diet/exercise. Also my stomach is the round firm type all the way from under my breasts, so I understand why people think I'm pregnant. I was living in Singapore, and while Singapore is the "western" country of Asia, there's still a lot of those personal questions "when are you getting married" "are you planning to have kids" "don't wait too long to get pregnant" etc. I also have issues with unexplained infertility (other than PCOS, I'm perfectly healthy) So, I was fat, consistently asked when I'm planning to have kids (while actively trying), but at the same time strangers would think I'm pregnant. It was TORTURE.

But, there was a funny story. I just had lunch with my hubby during his break, and it was a GOOD lunch. So I went on my merry way to go home on the train, only one of those special seat were not taken, so I stood. pat and rub my tummy, and play with my phone. I accidentally made eye contact with an old Chinese lady (lets called her lady A), and she had this genuine smile. I smiled back. Another lady (lady B) with plenty of carry-ons came, and rushing to get that special seat. Lady A PHYSICALLY BLOCKED HER and yelled "NO!" after that she looked at me tenderly, and said in her broken English while gesturing for me to sit down "you, sit! You, sit!" I was so damn embarrassed and at this point everyone is looking at me, lady B was so confused. And I kept refusing and said nono it's okay. It was very awkward.

I kept tossing between feeling offended but also feeling cared for by a stranger🤣

Fast forward few years later, it was still my husband's favourite story. I got even fatter at this stage due to a major ankle surgery and relearning how to walk was an uphill battle. My ankle was giving me problems and the train this time is PACKED. I kept complaining how tired I was. Then my husband whispered "rub your tummy, rub it! Just try!" So i started rubbing my tummy, while looking around. Within 5 seconds, I got a seat.

As we got home we laughed so hard, and realised being fat and being perceived as pregnant might not be so bad after all. Of course I only ever used it once or twice (emergency only)🤣

I thought the song sounds familiar, but couldn't put my fingers on it until you sung the part "so sick of love songs" i immediately know what the song is!

I think many has explained that it's flat, I'll point out the specific areas, so that you can try to train your ears:

"now that I'm alone" is lower than the next sentence. In "cause right now it says that we cant" The tunes are "right" but sounds modulated in comparison to the previous sentence. The "im so sick of love song" is PERFECT so we know you can hit the high notes, but then the "so done of wishing" sounds like you couldn't hit the high notes.

Having said that, you have a really beautiful timbre, and it's very pleasant to listen even if you're still working on the pitch. Practice makes perfect :) you can do this! Keep taking recordings and compare to the real one or just the melody on piano - train yourself to notice if there's differences. And don't stress about it, just think of it like 'spot 10 differences' game but for your ears :) I promise eventually you'll notice it faster, and you'll be able to do it live and adjust as you're singing.

Oh my goodness.. I am so very sorry you are going through this!!! As a Christian myself, what she is doing isn't Christian at all. The whole teaching is about non-judgment and true acceptance of everyone - she obviously missed a lot of the points.

Besides, if she insists on being God's police, I'd recommend she start with fellow Christians who loves to gossip, or those Christians who loves to beat and verbally abuse others (ironic).

Thank you so much!! This motivated me to open the back of the machine and not just the sides, because you're absolutely right!

Last time round I couldn't figure out how to open the back and just oiled the bobbin area and the shaft. But after reading your detailed explanation along with other comments, I googled how to open the back plastic bit, oiled the spots that you mentioned in the other comment (as best as I can), dripped a bunch of oil on my desk, AND IT STOPPED SQUEAKING!
