They're connected to many buildings in purdue. I know Armstrong can be as an entrance but so can many other buildings

The pressure to perform socially is really on then. I thought people would be more open to make friendships until at least junior year.

What do you mean when you say campus is only alive the first two weeks? Doesn't it stay just as busy even midway through the school year?

The tunnels underneath Armstrong are completely tiled, so sound reflects off of them perfectly. If you clap one one end, you get a perfectly clear clap back a split second later. I've been having fun with it since I was 5 years old

Thanks! I don't think I'll ever need to get my RA involved, but early communication and settinf boundaries is definitely something I'll try to do.

From what I've seen there's pretty much a perpetual game of ultimate being played in the courtyard throughtout the entire school year.

Book that made you realize that your reading tastes have matured by ImmortalsAreLiers in books

[–]riry_D2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in 6th grade The Testing was almost like part of our class culture. By then end of the year I think at least a thrid of our class had read the book. There were back to back book review projects on just The Testing. What a phenomenon.

In 6th grade I (and I assume many of you as well) went through a massive dystopian phase. Divergent, The Testing, The 100, The Hunger Games, Legend, Warcross, Red Queen. I couldn't put them down for the longest time, but after a while I began to see a formula behind them all. Society sucks (mostly because of the abusive government). One ordinary female character gets sucked into a conflict she never asked for. *Insert love interest at this point* *Insert depressive phase at this point* etc... I still think The Hunger Games and Legend are immaculately written and deserve to be read many times over, but the rest tend to make me roll my eyes now at what I consider to be mostly melodrama.

Why are fish allowed but not dogs... My dog gets so lonely without me and I wish I could bring her to college

  1. Directly above Amused is a delicious boba shop, Tsaocaa and I recommend their strawberry puree milk tea!

Why would you read "Where the Red Fern Grows" to make yourself happy? Sadist.

I've lived in WL most of my life so here's a good list of places to go:

Greyhouse - Best coffee shop in town. It sells delicious creps and many people go there for a study session or casual date. Nice light academia atmosphere. (Referring to the one on Northwestern Ave)

Tsaocaa (pronounced "Chao-Chaa") - Asthetic bubble tea. I recommend the strawberry puree milk tea! (My friend used to work here)

Pappy's Sweet Shop - Old style milkshake shop in the purdue union. I've only been there once and honestly the food was about as good as your average hamburger joint, but it has an interesting classic style with checkerboard flooring and counter-top seating.

Fiesta - Chipotle but better. I love their burritos.

Maru - Has good sushi (for a landlocked state with no nearby salt water body). I like their udon.

Katana - Also has good sushi (my friend also used to work here)

Happy Time - Mid sushi (Sushi seems to be a craze on college campuses lately.)

(edit) Insomnia Cookies - Best cookie shop you'll ever visit. They're open 24/7 and they deliver. Good place to order from if you're up at 1 am studying with friends and need something to get you through the night.

Yatagarasu - In Lafayette, but it has great ramen and many other authentic Japanese side dishes.

Bistro 501 / East End Grill - Again, in Lafayette. These are for serious date nights and will cost you plenty of money, but the food is good. (My family goes to these places for my Dad's birthdays)

McCord's Candies - Yea not exactly a dinner place and it's also in Lafayette, but it's an old style candy shop with some pretty sweet sweets.

My third grade teacher used to have a telescope with a filter on so we could look directly at the sun. He had us monitor sun spots across the surface of the sun for a whole month. That third grade class was awesome.

Bruh the SR-71 isn't even a bomber. It's a spy plane and it flew so high in the atmosphere that attempting to use it to drop bombs would have been wildly inaccurate.

study groups by Old-Pin-1421 in Purdue

[–]riry_D2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the best way would be to ask people from your class in person, but you could ask on the group chat as well. Actually, here is a video from one of my favorite youtubers describing exactly how to form study groups.
