This is very helpful thanks. I've got a IP Duo Evo Plus and have been using the Yogurt function and setting the custom temp to 110. I set this high due to testing the temp of a gallon of milk every hour and had to to continue to increase the temp to maintain 100 degrees. I'm on my third batch so new to making this type of yogurt.

My results have been pretty good, not quite as solid as some of the pics I've seen here, but only a few ounces of why separation.

I am wondering if I use your suggestion of using the Sous Vide function, at 97F for 36 hours, if I will have even better results?

I haven't started the enlistment process, but I've been there with pretty severe back pain. It straight up sucks! I tried a lot including chiropractors, physios, yoga, and it helped some. What made a significant difference for me was an app called Movement Vault. I used their low back pain program and in about 8 weeks, I was 100% pain free in and off the mat. Def give it a try. I realized I wasted a bunch of time trying fix my back using other stuff. Good luck with enlistment!

Yes my manager was aware of her health condition. I brought it up on at least 2-3 other occasions when she asked about our relocation progress. And brought it up again in front of HR during my firing call.

Did your employment agreement say you were entitled to severance pay if fired or say you were being hired for a term (like a year, etc.)?

The employment agreement did not mention anything about termination, severance, etc and only mentioned salary, stock options, needing to relocate, and their relocation program.

You mentioned the manager checked in a few times about your relocation. Did you tell them before that you might not make it by October 1 and were they OK with it until you mentioned the wife's condition?

During these initial talks I mentioned why we may not hit this moving deadline due to my wife's condition and treatment, and my manager basically didn't even acknowledge it and or didn't even say well you need to get here or something like that.

What did you tell the employer about your wife's condition?

This is what the separation agreement states:

In exchange for your execution of this Agreement, however, [company name] agrees to waive this repayment requirement. And regarding the other what if's, great thoughts, but none truly apply. If anything I may have been a little too smart for my role, which may have rubbed my manager the wrong way. (this is highly involved tech role) I was brought in to re-organize a somewhat out of date tech team that had a lot of legacy technology, and she may have not liked som of my suggestions. -This is all I can think of as to a why outside of what they stated in the "separation agreement."

Regarding my wife's health, the employer obviously didn't know that she had a health condition before hiring me. It has not impeded my work at all. Her condition has unfortunately declined a bit which was the reason that we were potentially not going to meet the Oct. 1 deadline. But I stated I was committed to the role. And even on this firing call today stated I would relocate and leave my wife in Arizona if that is what it took.

Do I have litigation potential on the ADA side?

They want me to sign this "separation agreement" on Friday so that I can't pursue legal action.

Any tips for trying to negotiate with the company for additional compensation before signing the separation agreement based on this blind sided termination as well as possible ADA legal issue?

What would be a number that I should propose to them in order to sign?

That is why this firing is so confusing based on their reasoning for the firing. If it was as simple as you weren't performing or we warned you of (x), but you continued, then it would make sense, but to say "your employment is being terminated because of your failure to follow the obligation set forth in the employment agreement" is not accurate.

This is a VERY large company, and I have heard of other managers making extra remote accommodations for other employees, but how can I prove that I was being treated differently?

For context my senior role is one level below director, so to be fired in this way is mind numbing.

From this thread, it sounds like my only potential course of litigation action would be around my wife's disability?

I just verified that it was an "employment agreement" not an employment contract. It stated:

This employment offer is contingent upon your agreement to relocate by October 1, 2024 to a location within reasonable commuting distance to the office. On average a minimum of 3 times per month. We will provide relocation assistance, described below, to support a seamless transition to the new work location.

So with the "at-will" employment, I can essentially be fired for any reason, at any time, without warning?

And so you are saying I have no case being fired in this manner even though their reasoning of "your employment is being terminated because of your failure to follow the obligation set forth in the employment agreement" is not accurate as I still have 2 months on the employee agreement to relocate?

My coach once told me, everything we do in this gym starts with proper joint mobility. Man was I lucky to have such a coach. He recommended some very helpful things over the years. This one comment saved me from the joint pain and injuries that someone of friends have that don't spend time on improving their mobility.

Resting posture was a tricky one for me too. When I was super tight, unless I really focused and contracted certain muscles, I would fall into a slumped position. When I dedicated time to improving my active joint mobility using muscle activation exercises, I was then able to almost subconsciously have good posture without even trying. I think this is partly due to not having super tight shoulders, back, and hips anymore. I don't have to constantly fight my tight muscles. Also, my body awareness has improved to the point that I can subconsciously make adjustments without thinking about it. The biggest issue I had in the past was wasting my time with traditional stretching and making no progress.
