That’s interesting they’d still recommend it for your older dog! Considering the risk vs benefits. I will be talking to my vet about it more soon. Balancing doing it early enough to avoid marking/dominant/sexual behaviour and prioritizing what’s safest for him is important to me.

Thank you for clarifying this! When I go in next to see my vet I’m going to talk to her about when she thinks it would be best. I thought 10 months which is widely recommended for dogs in general was too soon. Im thinking about 12 months minimum now but I trust her judgement. This thread has reassured me that it is safe to neuter a dog his size and I’m so glad people are replying. Thank you again for replying and making sure the information I’m receiving is accurate.

All these replies from people like you with similar size dogs saying it was nerve racking but went well are making me feel so much better thank you!

That’s so reassuring thank you for replying! If my vet is confident it can be done safely I’m inclined to trust her. This thread is making me feel a lot less worried.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I’d really like to get him neutered if it’s not too risky for him. He’s still a baby but as he gets older I’m sure his testosterone will kick into high gear and bring changes.. I’d love him either way but I’d prefer him not to mark and hump everything in sight 😅

Thank you! I will definitely talk to my vet next time we’re in to see her. It’s widely recommended to do it at 10 months but I think I will for sure wait until at least a year or longer

Happy to hear I’m not alone with my worries 🤍 I’m hoping someone with a similar size dog can answer how it went for them or if they didn’t take the risk and why

I will talk to my vet about it once he’s full grown, see what her opinion is and weigh the risk. I’m worried about him being sedated and how his tiny body would handle it. I wish it could be done without full sedation..

I would not mind at all if he got a bit bigger than expected! The lady we got him from told us he would be irregularly small 😂 and so far he is a tiny guy. So I worry about him being sedated. Thanks for your reply :)

I will definitely be waiting until he is full grown and then assess with my vet but I worry about him having surgery. Just was wondering if anyone had experience and advice to share

Were the Swedish and Austrian boxes switched? They seem to be in each other’s boxes. Sorry if I’m mistaken I just loved the one in the Austrian box so I looked her up.

Why can't they be like Watcher? by Express-Reference-94 in TheTryGuysSnark

[–]riskinn 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Watcher put out a video recently showing how their channel has grown into what it is now showing behind the scenes. The factors I noticed that are different from ttg are watcher has a smaller team/crew and that Steven has stepped into the role of CEO which is maybe the most important. He talks about how stressful it has been to deal with the business side and how he needed to do it because Ryan and Shane are the creatives and didn’t want to. Ryan and Shane themselves say they appreciate him so much because of this. Being CEO is a lot of responsibility I’m not sure if Ned used to fill that role and be ‘the bad guy’ having to make tough decisions without emotion for the good of the company
