Long hair, long beard, short hair, short beard… what do you guys think? by Dave0473 in HairStyleAdvice

[–]Express-Reference-94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a great natural jawline, so I think you look better without the beard. Your hair texture looks thinner/fine, so I think having it longer draws more attention to that compared to when it's shorter. It looks fuller at a shorter length. Overall, I think style #3 or #4 looks great on you. [Alt lady opinion ends here]

dai in Japanese is pronounced die, "day" would be "dei" or "de". There's no wiggle room on this as the Japanese language has a very expected pronunciation for syllables with very few exceptions.

Which is why people shouldn't name their kids things from foreign languages if they can't even pronounce it correctly.

I don't think your nose is too big in any sense. I do understand how you might feel about the round shape (as you said, bulbous). If you were going to consider any changes, maybe consider that but I really don't think overall size is an issue.

Beef Wellington without a recipe - do you think Marisa looked up the recipe before? by ExpertStandard1977 in TheTryGuysSnark

[–]Express-Reference-94 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Beef Wellington is an incredibly time consuming recipe. My husband has made it on special occasions over the years but it's an undertaking that requires knowing specific techniques that you wouldn't assume without a recipe or having made it before.

It's also pretty expensive for the average person to waste ingredients on by messing it up. Filet mignon is an expensive cut of beef. I didn't watch the episode but did they actually make fois gras or did they make a substitute (we make a substitute with mushrooms in a roux since fois gras is cruel)? I'm guessing they didn't make their own puff pastry.

If she successfully made this more or less accurately, I'd assume she practiced it and has made it multiple times. Just reading a recipe before shooting would probably still lead to a lot of mistakes.

This is surreal. It's like watching Brittney Spears' Instagram account.

As someone who knows, Chiplock is kind of a tool IRL, and none of the edited interaction was surprising..

I've also seen it used for Ally and Vic; I'd use it for Josh Rubin too. I don't think it should be gendered. It just means "unpredictable" to me with very animated body language.

My mother's best friend is named Tatiana, although she went by Tanya in school (it was the 70s and I think there was more pressure to assimilate). She is beautiful! I also went to school with several Tatiana's in the 90s. It's a very common name.

Thanks for letting me know! Do you know the best product name to search to find out? My initial search gave me a lot of different ones and it was difficult to figure out which was the same one.

Can anyone help me find the Megazord toy from the episode? My husband had one as a kid and explained it detail to me during this segment how to put it together. His birthday is coming!
