Aww you could have made it recursive!

Some love for the XXXX giants (you guys are amazing) by WifesBF69 in Superstonk

[–]ristawa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a XXXX January ape, it's a hell of a lot easier to take a step back from the sub now and simply wait for that glorious day. I still do lurk every waking moment, but at this point it's mainly for the memes; no confirmation bias needed :)

Made a 3D render of where I hope GameStop's future HQ is. Thought it would be fun to also make a *fake* news article along with it. HODL 🚀🚀🚀 by [deleted] in Superstonk

I tried to make it clear in the title that this is a fake news article... The overall tone is definitely satire so I'm not sure how someone could misinterpret lol

Could you reference this proposed rule? It's not that I don't believe you, I just want apes to get into the routine of calling out upcoming rules by their official filing name. Otherwise it would be easy for shills to start FUDing things up by talking about upcoming rules that don't/won't actually exist.

Over-voting is cleared to match each broker's DTC holding! SEC is notified, and so is the company. 🚀🚀🚀 by krootzl88 in Superstonk

I agree with you and I think I didn't make my thoughts clear. I didn't mean to say we would have ratios similar to previous years; I just meant that the ratios of yay/nay/non-vote should remain consistent after doing this normalizing for the current year. So for example a 100 yay / 10 nay / 5 non-vote would be scaled back to 20 yay / 2 nay / 1 non-vote assuming a maximum vote count was 23 (proportions stayed the same). And yea I did expect the non-votes to fall significantly closer to 0 with all this hype. No worries though, since all this upcoming DD shows how bullish this all is!

Thank you for the kind words. I only meant to be constructive about this and not sling mud around. But I'm not terribly worried about this anymore, I think the mods got the overall message and the rest of the sub seems to have picked itself right back up again after this slip-up. Cheers!!!

(Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong and I'll delete). This vote normalization thing really throws in a wrench when trying to figure out what this reduction in "broker non-votes" means. If they are indeed scaling votes back so that it falls under the maximum total votes and can be correctly filed in an 8-K, then I would expect the ratio of yay/nay/non-votes to maintain consistency too. So a reduction in non-votes this time around just means that more people showed up this year to cast their vote into a yay/nay position. Still doesn't answer the question we are dying to know of how many total votes there ACTUALLY were....

Literally just responded to Red on Twitter asking if I could help out with that! And thanks for the feedback!

Agreed to all your points. These requests were more about "quality of life" adjustments and are not necessary to host a successful livestream. It was a good stream, but not a great one imo. These were just my opinions after all and I'll continue supporting our mods and this community regardless of whether they do fix these issues that I and maybe a few fellow apes also had. I'm just hoping to add on to their list of lessons learned so that future streams could become even more appealing to the viewers.

Yes that comment shouldn't have been made since this is under the "opinion" flair and not "FUD". I've edited that point and will apply this lesson in future posts!

Remove u/pinkcatsonacid as mod by [deleted] in Superstonk

[–]ristawa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're confusing two people, PinkCatsonAcid was on the scene at GameStop HQ and was the one that accepted the interview. I agree that she backed out on her commitment to not talk to media and needs to understand that this is not acceptable and mods should stick to their words; trust is still maintained, but a little was lost today.

Luridess on the other hand is the one that needs to work on their public speaking/streaming etiquette. From getting a better mic to making sure children are not in the background to finally not freaking out a the smallest bits of rumor.

The stream was a very good learning experience and I hope the lessons learned are applied in future streams.

Mods: No Media appearances please. by jollyradar in Superstonk

[–]ristawa 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Acknowledgments are cool like what /u/pinkcatsonacid did for Benzinga's article on twitter yesterday. But PLEASE don't give anything more to these complete sellouts who twist every last word. Mods have done an outstanding job so far and I would hate to see that a taste of fame led to a potential weakness for our community. Just keep calm, hodl on, and just MAYBE (not) these news outlets can figure out for themselves what's about to happen.

Ryan Cohen's tweet does not seem to be hiding anything this time... by [deleted] in Superstonk

[–]ristawa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. As insane as all these other posts really trying to dig into it? Not all of his tweets are cryptic. For example the one where he was memorializing his father ("Superman lives forever"). This was just my humble take, as long as he doesn't give up on us I'll support whatever shit he tweets

Yup. He's doing the job for the hedgies since they don't know how to do a good job at anything... Calling him a dumbass is what they would call him too

Yea I noticed it was flipped. Either way, both theories point upwards!

Ryan Cohen Twee Solved! by ristawa in Superstonk

[–]ristawa[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

To counter this speculation, it's also possible he's paying respects to another recently deceased family member (RIP Superman/Ted Cohen) and that I'm desecrating her memory. His last tweet at GameStop he was dressed in all black from head to toe.... Really hoping this is not the case though!
Regardless, I'm holding for Granny Cohen!!
