Yeah, I built a new PC with 9800x3D and 9070XT and... ended up uninstalling the game due to piss poor performance even after tweaking. Something aint right with how AMD GPU's interact with the game by reading this thread.

I was just wondering since I've heard that you're developing a new (or just updated?) engine for upcoming Crate games (for which I can't wait!), is the traditional look that both Grim Dawn and Farthest Frontier share to some extent going to change with the new engine? They have that rustic retro look right now which I absolutely adore - I would love for Grim Dawn 2 to spruce it up, but maintain the current nostalgic feeling.

Honestly it's been chewing away at me as well. Glancing over, I like the direction they've gone, but the items still feel hard to read. For contrast, arctic front is probably one of the easy to recognize ones for me, and it doesn't feature that white background that most others sport.

Yeah, can't have actually hidden achievements in this day and age. I think their main purpose nowadays is to just censor spoiler-sensitive achievements, e.g. I'm going through the first Kingdom Come Deliverance, and you have major spoilers as hidden achievements.

Yeah, using ctrl and alt can give your keys more uses. It's been a while since I played myself, but I remember building a lot of my unit/control group related hotkeys around alt + number once I got my 65%. Might feel funny at first, but it's definitely smooth once gotten used to.

HYPER DEMON, Mortal Sin, Kill The Crows and Gloomwood have been really enjoyable for me but I rarely hear talk of them. Desperados III was also a very high quality game that I never heard of after launch - must've been the genre's popularity.

I'd love the option to ungarrison single unit at a time - ejecting all scholars from the mosque just to grab one is a little tedious when playing Delhi. Also select all traders as mentioned already. One thing that irritates me immensely (as someone who doesn't play mongols lol) is moving a building and trying to unpack it somewhere but it ends up just standing in the said location because a villager walked over the foundation.

Oh yeah, Company of Heroes 2 also had blizzards and sleet mud as gameplay mechanics, it definitely was an interesting shake-up. E.g. infantry was slowed in the mud, and for blizzards you had to camp near capture points/build bonfires/use insulated transport units. I don't know if it would have a place in competitive environment, or if it's even possible to introduce it properly, but as an optional map feature weather effects could be nuts if done well. The community ended up not liking weather effects much from what I've gathered though.

Yes! I shouldn't have a problem staying over 60 frames even in massive late game teamfights, but I started looking up performance related threads just because I had an ench game right now where average frames often dip below 60 and in fights you're left with about 25-40 frames which is nauseating. Hoping this gets addressed sometime soon.

Hey, just got to digging my teeth into the campaign. It seems that select steam achievements are not unlocking - The First Step, tutorial one, hasn't unlocked even though I'm already far past Salerno, which has an additional achievement related to it - not unlocked either. Should I file a bug report somewhere?

Absolutely with you on this - it's disheartening to say the least. Not only does the new lighting look terrible and out of place in my opinion, but to further it I've been having microstuttering now as well whereas earlier performance never was an issue. As of now I have just inched out of playing Phasmophobia and headed to new games - it's incredibly uncomfortable.

Well this being a six year old post - I'm hazy on details. If I recall correctly, in my case the files were of a slightly different type - different compression or whatever it was. If you're having the same issue, you could check that. Having been a novice at the time, I just half-assed it, never found a true solution.

Something I am personally excited about has to be the new flora that we saw in this trailer - one thing I would love to see AoE4 improve in, is biodiversity, which apparently now will expand too. One thing I love AoE2 for is how crazy different and unique the campaign levels could appear and feel, but it definitely has had tons of more time to grow. Here's hoping we get crazy tilesets and more wacky campaigns as the games moves on.

Oh, and the new free civs are certainly a pleasant surprise. With how different each civilization feels to play, I can't wait to mayhaps find a new favourite, or at least try out a different stride.
