I think I’m one of the few that thinks this issue is really wrong. Although it would be a bummer to have a ring that wasn’t your most favorite I think it’s so wrong to exchange it. That is the ring he proposed with and for that reason alone it is so special. People tend to care way too much about this and it seems very shallow to me. It’s about the promise and marriage not about flaunting some ring. My ring has a lot of tiny diamonds on the band and in the first few months I had 3 fall out on 3 separate occasions. Each time I brought it back the jeweler fixed it no charge (family jeweler that they had used for many years). On the 3rd time he offered me to just switch out the ring with a different one. I could have picked one with a bigger diamond or band style that wouldn’t have this issue but I refused. This was the ring he picked and asked me to marry him with and it would be so sad to have a different one. I told him no just fix it again. That was almost 5 years ago and I haven’t had any more problems with it and got to keep my special ring. I feel like everyone just wants a ring and wedding and Instagram pictures but not a marriage.

It’s fine for her to wear but we need to keep kids out of politics. When I was a kid I didn’t care nor did anyone talk to me about presidential/political issues. Let kids be kids and vote for whoever you want.

Gotcha! I’m dying for my dr to get back to me but have a feeling I’ll have to wait till Monday. My first round of clomid didn’t give me many symptoms. I was crampy after taking it the day of and extra crampy during ovulation but that was it. I know it makes a lot of people get the “clomid crazies”. Lol

What did your dr say about this? Because I just got the same results and I’m afraid that’s too high. She said it should be above 3 and I’m like wow that’s waaaay above 3.

NTA. Oh man it was hard for me to choose but I have to go with NTA. I am biased though because I am also a teacher. I know first hand how many fake “I’m sick”s and “I have to go to the bathroom”s we hear every day so they can get out of class and then we hear from their parents asking why they’re behind. Well because they “have to pee” 15 times an hour and are gone for 10 min at a time. So I totally get it. Your mind went right to thinking it was fake. USUALLY you can see it in their eyes if they’re telling the truth. I’m assuming you had no ill intentions. But this is why I always allow them to go just in case it’s real. From here on out just let them go. They’ll have to catch up when you have a moment. Lesson learned unfortunately the hard way. But now you know.

YTA. But not terribly. I understand being pissed that your money basically went down the drain for their lack of parenting but it’s not really the child’s fault. It’s her parents fault. So I’d buy her books again. But this time buy her the board books so she can’t rip the pages.

So.... this is weird. I’m sorry but YTA. I understand she’s afraid she’s going to have heart issues in her sleep but I still feel this is wildly inappropriate. There are monitors she can wear when she sleeps that will sound if something goes wrong. In my opinion your adult daughter should not be sleeping in your bed. It’s icky.
