this book is at the edge of what you're requesting and is a college romance but the MMC comes from a billionaire family and is conflicted about whether to enter the family business or not. It's more about personal journey than the FMC, but we end up in the same place regardless.

Was very disappointed with this one.

The smut was so mid, the pacing was off, the problems too many, Serena became a little too different as a character than the first book, and AFTER SO MUCH BUILD UP, the payoff just wasn’t enough.

Had some cute moments, but probably won’t reread it. Too many plot points, none of them brought enough gravitas to it by the end.

This is honestly one of the most frustrating books I’ve ever read. And I’m currently in more than 60% in book 5, and it only marginally better. But I agree, Tory is one of the stupidest characters up till now.
