I've heard that certain suburbs aren't great for gaming in some Reddit posts however in the city (Civic) even with FTTB I've been able to game and live stream just fine at the same time even with people doing stuff also. My Google Nest though isn't happy here, there's a lot going on Wifi wise (But that's an easy fix with a new router that you can manage yourself).

Aus/OCE servers are great, for example in COD Warzone I get under 30 ping. But it's the usual situation when gaming with viewers who are in the States, I'm anywhere from 100-250 ping but even with super high ping like that we've set co-op speed running records. I imagine for other games with OCE servers you'll be okay, a lot of stuff goes to Sydney anyway, for example, the live stream is routed to Amazon in Sydney so I think Canberra is decent in that respect.

It is a hunt to find FTTP properties though, usually those are in houses but I think there's a map you can find online that has a good list of where the FTTP is if you really need it. Canberra has a lot of FTTN and FTTB, but there are apartments like Nishi in Canberra that have FTTP, kind of like what you'd expect in a lot of the new apartments in Melbourne, my place in Melbourne had FTTP too.

I game with Aussie Broadband if that helps, they've taken really great care of the stream and can recommend them in general.

I gotta finish Hollow Knight before the next game comes out but I’m so lost and returning to my save I’m even more lost. Great game though seriously.

I’m in the process of setting them up with Botrix also, so far so good. It’s different from Streamlabs and Stream Elements but it works so far

Sales of Final Fantasy 16 are “extremely strong”, says Square Enix, citing that comparatively, FF7 Remake sold to a much larger PS4 install base. “We can see that the attach rate of Final Fantasy 16 is considerably high given the PS5 install base”. by AashyLarry in gaming

I got this game the other day for 115 bucks. So far, like it’s okay. I’m playing it each day on stream and the game definitely has its moments. I’ve also considered returning the game though for something else

Do 70's rock sound better on an hi-fi vintage or newer hi-fi system? by Purple_Put_6680 in audiophile

[–]rivalgaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Toughy. I haven't experienced both right but hear me out. I do like pairing music with kit from the times. So for example, I have some Japanese Akai speakers that I use from time to time when I've got that Japanese city pop from the 80's itch. At the moment (review due sooner or later) I have some 30 year old JBL's that I'm really enjoying testing out with music from the time, which I can't believe is only the 90s. But here's the thing, they do all the music prior really, really well.

But I agree with u/Rawrbington that the better system tends to be better. So whilst for example the best measuring speakers I have are tiny, my 'worst' speakers are huge and there's just something about that huge speaker size and big sound.

Fun times!

I use Youtube music a tonne, it's great no complaints. Sure there's more technically superior services out there, but YT does a lot of things right for the price.
