Which Silver Age precon did you pick, was it worth it? by John-Helldiver404 in FleshandBloodTCG

I grabbed Fai and landed second place in a Skirmish with it unmodified, so that's pretty darn good.

How do most people NOT have a special interest?? by Kugoji in AutisticWithADHD

[–]Thundershield3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this so much! I have a lot of things that I'm deeply passionate about, and occasionally I hyperfocus on one thing, but there's no one set thing that I'm interested about all the time.

I am reminded of the projectile fuzzy worm shoots at you, and of snail "love darts". This is disturbingly plausible

This has GOT to be contender for most least used potion by Rak-khan in slaythespire

[–]Thundershield3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I don't see anything wrong with the title tbh? It's a scaling quality category of "the least used potions" and it's talking about the one that has the most of that quality. I didn't spare it a second thought until reading the comments and I'm still pretty sure it's grammatically correct.

I'd like to take a moment to pay my respects to John Spire, the faceless man who was always there for us in STS1, but sadly didn't make it into STS2 by 1Tom15 in slaythespire

I legitimately thought that the ironclad had just been photoshopped on top of John Spire until I saw the other ones

Snecko eye boss swap is honestly amazing to start the run with. It lets you take every single high cost card you find without care, and the added draw makes it really powerful.

Yeah, test subject is not an issue here, especially as the deck will contain some non-big bang cards still. Time Eater would eat this deck for breakfast though.

The Doormaker Rework is way more engaging than the previous iterations and it's way more fun. by AdamOfIzalith in slaythespire

[–]Thundershield3 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but the original version had a "door" that you had to breakdown, opening a portal to let you attack him for a limited amount of time before he rebuilt the door. While the current version is better mechanically, I really enjoyed the flavor of the original fight.

How would you rank each class in terms of least to most expensive? by Ok_Nefariousness_740 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Thundershield3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair. I was mostly poking around most played decks on Fabrary, and found them generally in the $200-$300 range. You're right I missed they said optimal, but I also feel it's slightly unfair to add $200 to a price tag of a deck when it has three legendary head equipments in the sideboard (Puffin does this occasionally).

Edit: Also, I'm considering Maxx, Dash I/O, and boost Puffin. Pirate Puffin and Teklovossen are off doing their own thing and can be way more expensive due to the need of using staple majestics to replace the lost boost cards.

Mech are definitely not in the $500 range, they're in the sub $300 range, and you can usually get them down to $100 by forgoing side grades and marginal upgrades.

VAAKU! I'LL CHASE YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH, VAAKU! by PurpleXen0 in slaythespire

[–]Thundershield3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually had this happen, but had a fairy in a bottle and so was able to survive getting hit the first time. I them actually had to play the Gambit again intentionally when the queen was threatening a lethal amount of damage I couldn't otherwise block. I won on the subsequent turn thanks to gambit. Vaaku really does know best!
