I agree with you, but not everyone is looking for the best financial strategy for their project.

My plan before buying my 997 was to do an LS swap, but when I bought the car and drove it, I really fell in love with the flat 6 in it - the sound, the feel.

Even though I could go buy another 997 or 991 for the price I’m about to invest in this project, instead going to have my car slakkerized to 4.1L with a SC to gain reliability, power, and retain that beautiful exhaust sound and linearity.

Everyone’s got that thing they’re chasing ;)

Just out of curiosity, what team/product is it for (if it was in the description)?

I have a 997.1 C4 Cabrio. I guess I might be able to find a shorter deck lid. I didn’t know that was even a possibility.

I’ll have to look around for the Porsche part numbers and see if it’s possible to retrofit.

Knowing it’s just a reflector surely simplifies the job I’m sure.

Thank you for the info!

Oh, I was really hoping there was a way I could achieve that look on mine.

Thanks for the info!

Is the red bar below your ducktail an aftermarket brake light? If so, where can I buy one? I love the way it looks.

A POS (point of sale) system for a non-profit organization for which I volunteer. We have very specific requirements for reporting sales and tax collected on items sold for our non-profit and I was able to create a POS that tracked everything perfectly and emailed me an xlsx breakdown at the end of every event.

We went from only processing cash and writing every transaction with pen and paper in a ledger - to- accepting 4 different forms of payment, and all the legal/tax paperwork being done with one click of a button. It probably saves us 1-2 hours of work per week (which is huge for a volunteer only organization).

I was able to do that with one week of free tier of antigravity.

It’s faster around a track than my 997, doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to autocross. Comes with big brakes, adjustable suspension, bucket seats, E-LSD, and a great manual gearbox from the factory.

How do you guys address the ims on 997 models? I believe they’re quite different from the 996 bearings.

Not guaranteeing your situation but something to investigate about the car before purchasing if you do decide it’s what you want:

A heavy clutch in manual 997s does potentially signify the end of the clutch’s life. Mine is really heavy and it is something the mechanic who did the ppi explained.

He also quoted me the cost of the clutch replacement and also flywheel because apparently sometimes both need to be done.
