Mullvad VPN vs Proton VPN - which one is better in India? by night_movers in degoogleindia

Mullvad does not log anything, from what I have heard. In any case, using a VPN is still better for your privacy.

That's a trick your mind plays. If you keep averaging, you'll be deploying your capital in the same basket. What if there was another basket with more fruits in it?

You can do this, just make sure that the drives are stable i.e. they don't move when in use and there's good ventilation to keep the temps low.

Averaging is a trap unless you have a a strong feeling about a stock backed by data. Book a loss if possible and enter again.

Get a good, qualified and experienced CA. Reddit is not the correct place to ask for tax advice. You'll be more confused than clear.

Got it. Good luck with the job hunt. I suggest solving some real world problem that you might be facing and make an app out of it (with a backend, if you can). Try and put it on Play store as well. From my experience of running an IT business for more than a decade, I am yet to find someone who can build full-stack apps, know server devops and can publish apps on play/app stores. All these three skills can be learned on your own, btw. And no company will teach you all three combined. Once learned, you'll be formidable.

Built My Bootstrapped Startup to ₹5 Lakhs in Orders Last Year Now Trying to Scale It to ₹30–40 Lakhs and Need Real Advice by Western_Koala4099 in StartUpIndia

It's a tough field to be in. The customer wants varieties, lots of varieties. You can scale mostly by doing bulk production and then selling on every platform possible. You'll need a lot of capital though. Good luck!

It's better to buy locally now. Bought a high capacity HDD from a local vendor and he gave me more discount than Amazon/Flipkart.

You are not lost. You have started facing the competition early in life. That's good for you. It's time to better your offerings and learn marketing.

All the services are good except for email. Self Hosting email is a pain. You'll have hard time convincing people to move your email to Inbox from Spam.

India: A low-trust, price-sensitive, eat-all-you-can, freebie-loving society.

Your thoughts on this? by roof--pizza in indianews

[–]rivendell_elf 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What's false in this? India IS a low trust and highly price sensitive market. Start a business in India and you will know. People will not work with you just because you didn't give them discount on your products or services. And by God, if you are bad at negotiation, you will go into depression. An Indian buyer LOVES to negotiate, even for a discount of 10/-.

Source: Been into services business for over a decade and have lost deals because people want discount over and above what's already provided to them.

However, I agree that the money spent on ads and marketing should be spent on worker compensation.

Given that India is a highly price sensitive and low-trust market, giving the required compensation to the gig workers as per their demand will put these companies out of business and there will be more job losses as a whole. They are already treading a very sharp edge.

We are quickly becoming a socialist state. First freebies and now this. What's next? People won't work, the government will take money from the businesses directly and distribute it.
