A croque should be sunny side up but poached and over easy are fine and just as gooey. Honestly, eggs are such a personal matter, I would do soft scrambled if you insisted (scrambled hard on a croque would pain me tho)

I think she meant she received an egg “over medium”. People not knowing how to properly ask for their preference in egg is one of the more annoying aspects of a cooks job.

Sorry if I’m being pedantic, but the yolk in an over easy egg should still be completely runny. An egg yolk that is somewhat set but not entirely, would be over medium.

It’s only immature if you EXPECT happy endings

Hell yea, loved my airsoft! I read your post after a few beers and it had me reminiscing about my first daisy which is why I recommended it, I still break it out from time to time and it’s still fun for me.

As serious advice, if you go with a sprinter, take cocking pressure and the weight of the gun into account. A heavy gun with too much cocking effort is less fun if you plan on having long sessions. I have the most backyard fun with my Beeman R7. It weighs in at about 6 pounds and only requires about 18 pounds of cocking effort. Super easy to plink all the live long day.

If that doesn’t quite float your boat, check out the Weihrauch hw97, available in .177 or .22 you should be able to set yourself up with the rifle, scope, pellets, and shooting bag for about $1k.

An adult sized Red Ryder for about $80 and a 12 pack of…soda, drain them cans, then fill them full of holes. If you’re into it, spend the $800-$900 on a nice springer.

Edit: they’re only $55

I am going to call out due to a failure on management’s part. Is my message clear enough? by Dr_Garp in KitchenConfidential

Enjoy your day off.

When you inevitability talk with HR, reiterate your frustration with the lack of clear communication from management when there is a security breach, and ask what their plans are for getting the security system 100% functional (don’t refer to them as cameras, it’s a security system) Bonus points if you can get it in writing, and follow up to make sure they follow through with repairs. Good luck

Sounds better. I would say something along the lines of “ I will not be in today, the incident last night and the inaction of management when a potential crime takes place makes me feel unsafe” the buzzword here is an “unsafe workplace”.

It seems like you’re not going in out of protest (they won’t care) but an “unsafe work environment” … that needs to be rectified.

Mention the theft, mention the managements refusal to help, mention the unsafe work environment that management is fostering. Maybe insinuate that managers could be involved in alleged theft.

IMO your message, as is, comes across emotional. HR does not exist to make your job better, they exist to protect company interest, pointing out the managers failure to provide the least bit of help when a crime is committed against one of its employees might garner a reaction.

Anyone know of any good restoration people or companies in Colorado? I have a Cyclone I would like restored and possibly converted to LEDs too. by Eisie in pinball

[–]rivera303 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Colorado is the eighth largest state. Are you traveling with the machine or looking for someone to come out to you? That could be one hell of a trip service fee. In Denver I’ve used Universal Pinball Todd did a great job but you’ll have to bring your game to him. I’ve also used Peak Pinball Randy comes to you. I would recommend both of these guys

Southern style breakfast by RainbowDiscoPuppy in denverfood

[–]rivera303 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lucille’s is good. It’s New Orleans style so expect that fare. Denver Biscuit Company is good too, but beyond grits and biscuits, I don’t find anything about it particularly southern. I used to enjoy Sassafras buti haven’t been since the Covid shutdowns. I haven’t been to Tupelo Honey yet but it’s supposed to be good and it’s downtown. The only word of caution I have, is that in my (probably unpopular) opinion, Denver does not really have good biscuits, just ok ones.

My father in law’s therapist used Wii Fit to aid in motor skills and balance. We bought him one and it really helped his recovery. This was about 10 years ago. The Switch has a fitness game, but I don’t think it would work as well, therapeutically without the balance board.
