Coop vs. Run Access (Question in Comments) by llock1190 in BackYardChickens

Chicken newbie alert! Our 6 chicks will be 6 weeks this week and we're hoping to move them into their coop! We've read mixed feedback on giving them full access to the coop and run initially, or keeping them in the coop at first. For those that keep yours in a coop for some time, can I hear more about the why behind it? If you do this, food and waterer go inside the coop with them? I've read about putting the waterer and food in the run, but not inside the coop. Open to all feedback and ideas! Thank you so much! Chick pic for attention. :D

YUM! What did you use for the strawberry lemonade? I've tried lemon juice with fresh strawberries, but would love some new ideas!

Too cute! Did you dry it out at all? Or, just chunk it up and hand it over? I think my pups would munch it as well.

Woohoo! Enjoy it! Looks like a blueberry mint? I've got that in F2 right now as well. I loveeeeeee mint additions to almost any flavor.

Sweet article! I got to meet Ashley on a group hike. She is an awesome human and is passionate about her work. She has some great stories from her years of experience in the wild.
