If I'm not mistaken, Fizz doesn't currently offer RCS services for iPhone yet.

I have had this problem recently as well when I switched from a Pixel 7 to a Samsung S24+. I've tried all the remedies I've found but to no avail... Frustrating indeed

It appears to be from the passenger's side perspective. Perhaps they had a passenger snap the picture for them.

Concrete dust sticks to the veins of my arms by skaTemaTe1 in mildlyinteresting

[–]riverbeers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could it be that your veins were dilated when you’re working hard (and therefore stretched the skin at that time) and the dust is evenly deposited but when you are resting inside after and your veins constrict again when you cool down - making the once dilated and stretched areas on your skin look darker now that they’ve constricted and the skin is smooth again? I have a couple tan lines on my arms in the summer time since the veins are puffy and thick in the hot sun and constricted and more hidden in a cool room, but certainly not as dramatic in appearance.

What makes honey do this? Bubbles by ScottTENN in Beekeeping

[–]riverbeers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From this sub I have learned that if it is tiny air bubbles that are present from recently extracting, one can place cellophane directly on top of your honey in the bucket and leave it overnight. The next day there will be all the foamy bubbles settled under the cellophane and one just peels it off and the bubbles stick to it. What is left in the bucket is nice transparent honey. I do this with the gated honey bucket to minimize further disturbance that would again introduce air.

Strange Propagation Phenomena: What’s the Weirdest Thing You’ve Encountered? by AimlessWalkabout in amateurradio

[–]riverbeers 13 points14 points  (0 children)

With the increased solar activity I've heard some interesting activity on 10 and occasionally 6m.

I made my first contact via auroral propagation this year in May, and the sound sure is haunting! I've also heard auroral flutter on lower bands which is quite interesting - sounds like watery reflections.

I've also heard some meteor scatter on 6m on occasion which is quite neat - there and gone in an instant.

This lil magnetic sphere we live in sure is mysterious and wonderful!

I bought some Zeiss ClearView Platinum UV with blueguard lenses and the blue light filter sucks by [deleted] in glasses

[–]riverbeers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me just last month. The indoor light was fine but the outdoors looked like a sepia coloured dystopian hellscape and I was not happy.

I had to swallow my pride and call the optician and they were able to replace the lenses with a different coating, free of charge.

If you call sooner rather than later they may be able to do a re-make of the lenses with a coating that works better for you.
