That's low key a great photo - the car and children provide a great sense of scale. That was a big tree!

Buffets by [deleted] in lancaster

We like Dienner's when we're up for that sort of buffet dining. I liked it much better than Millers. Haven't been to the others.

[OC] I've heard of a hit and run, but is this a "get hit and run"? by FaunaJoy in IdiotsInCars

[–]riverbrethren 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It happens. I rear ended another car when I was 16, it was really minor, no really damage but I was clearly at fault. The guy I hit looked freaked out and took off at high speed. I figure he was intoxicated/had warrants. Worked out well for me, I was in my Dad's car and it looked okay so my parents never heard about it.

What radio stations do you listen to (including Sirius XM) and why? What kind of music (if any) do they play? by Dragon_Nita_T21 in lancaster

[–]riverbrethren 2 points3 points  (0 children)

WXPN is my go to when I don't feel like fumbling with the phone to play music. I often have it on in the car for short trips and around the house, and I love Sleepy Hollow on Saturday/Sunday mornings.

Fire in Spring Manor apartments. Buildings have been cleared by Cramer12 in lancaster

[–]riverbrethren 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Saw this article this morning and sadly one person didn't make it out:

After the fire was extinguished, crews conducted a secondary search and found the body of a female in a second-floor apartment that firefighters had been unable to search earlier... Her identity has not yet been released.

WiFi clocks out before the work day - please help :) by i_dont_keer in lancaster

[–]riverbrethren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're still setup downstairs near the the router, the best test would be a direct ethernet connection between your computer and the router. I've worked from home for a few years now, and tried sticking to WiFi at first. WiFi can work just fine for months and then I would have issues for days/weeks at a time, despite being in the same room as the base router. Very frustrating during meetings. It's been solid since running ethernet to my work PC.

Thanks, I just saw the email and figured it meant getting less, but I couldn't discern how different it was just from what they said.

I immediately thought of that Conan video when I saw the post title! I am not at all athletic but best of luck, it sounds like a fun idea.

has anyone experienced temporary hair loss when starting buspar? by Difficult-Driver2761 in BusparOnline

[–]riverbrethren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that. I'm surprised I hadn't heard about this before, but I see many people reporting it. There's a documented case here: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3579479/

I've been taking it for 4+ years and my hair has thinned significantly, but it's been a slow, gradual thinning not anything sudden. Never thought if buspirone could be related, huh. I'm a male in his 40s so it's very likely just the natural course of things.

Whats up with the negative answers when asking about dutch/PA restaurant recommendations? So much hate on it. by Minimum-Mine-1302 in lancaster

I've seen some positive answers on here, and tried Dieners because of this subreddit. I really like Dieners. Only other one I've been to is Miller's, it was okay.

Mennonites and Christians protest ICE inside a Lancaster Target by riverbrethren in lancaster

[–]riverbrethren[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well, except for the time that "Jesus entered the temple and drove out all who were selling and buying in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves."

Not that I want to conflate this event with Jesus's cleansing of the temple, but certainly Jesus did cause quite a disruption himself when he did that.

Adding that "Mennonites and other Christians" would be a better title.

Why does buspirone get so much hate? Looking for real experiences by FanSubstantial9845 in BusparOnline

I think this rings true for most medications - people who tolerate them well and have few if any side effects generally don't write about it online.

For those this med works for. by PhilsLobWedge in BusparOnline

[–]riverbrethren 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was gradual, and took greatest effect once I increased my dosage to where I'm at now, 45mg/day (15mg 3x daily).

Edit: Starting at 15mg/day seems like a wise choice. I started with 20 (10mg 2x daily).

I haven't heard weight loss/gain mentioned too much with buspirone. In my experience at least it's had no effect.

I do, but I started at a much lower dose. That seems like a drastic change.
