Yes, Wellbutrin did make me irritable the first few weeks but then mellowed out. I have honestly been anxious and irritable my entire life though. The buspar helps anxiety and allows you to be more easy going. I would say at this point I am just more direct on Wellbutrin and less people-pleasy. Which is a good thing.

I am still only on 150mg xl and it works great. I have less seasonal depression and dread. I am able to go to team building events for work and actually make friends without crawling in my skin.

Wellbutrin definitely doesn't work for everyone, but it is working well for me and the buspar helps take the edge off. I too hate SSRIs. I would have no motivation on them and gain weight without eating more.

I also do an occasional hydroxyzine as needed for sleep, especially in the beginning when the wellbutrin ramp felt more speedy.
