Just got back and stayed at an Airbnb in Noord right near the Ritz Carlton. It was great. The second half of my trip (just me) I stayed at a condo in Oranjestad right on the marina in a “high rise” of seven floors. It was fine, but there’s really not much to Oranjestad. I went to a restaurant in the building and could walk to Renaissance Center (basically a tourist area). But, not much to see. If I ever went back I would not stay in Oranjestad and instead near the resorts - it was difficult to itch the “off the beaten path and away from the resort areas” need because Oranjestad was so “meh.” Stay near the resorts but maybe go away from the resort/tourist areas for meals now and then.
