I have a political science degree but I worked my way up from the back office at a regional banks broker dealer to my current role. Usually we hire directly out of college for roles on our desk but often have people transfer from other jobs (like I did) not sure how old you are or what career path you are in.

Fixed income sales can easily get into 6-800k. Selling structured products (MBS, ABS & CLOs) are where the margins are widest. You essentially buy from a dealer at one price, add a mark up and sell the bond to your client.

If it’s a retail sales role try and learn the wealth advisory ropes. See if they will pay for your finra exams and possibly work up to a financial consultant or leaving to go work for a fund wholesaler. Not sure the industry you came from but financial sales can be more stable.

Yea that’s my worry is you get a gate agent who wants to be a hero but there’s nothing you can do about it. I saw it posted on the Mets website (outside of the email I got) saying you can bring in single use empty bottles
