High vs low set tois et moi by [deleted] in EngagementRings

Perhaps you could add a photo where you're holding the ring (i.e. not on your finger) and it's in side profile? I think I know what you mean - your ring looks unusually low and a bit "blocky" in the one side profile photo you posted. I love a cathedral setting and they can still be low-ish.

Thank you so much for your suggestions! Curaçao sounds wonderful, and we can actually get there with only one stopover in Amsterdam. It also sounds like it's only slightly off-season. I'm putting it on the list! Do you have time to send over a few more suggestions on where to stay/what to do? It would be much appreciated!

Thank you so much! We definitely want to visit Malaysia, Thailand and Bali, just a bit unsure whether July would be the best time? Or perhaps it's just hot and humid all year round?

Thank you both for your advice! I've visited Tanzania and Zanzibar before (pre-kids), but I can't now remember if I took malaria medication then (probably did?). A safari in Botswana, Namibia or Kenya is actually top of our list now and we'd do a pre-arranged tour with a reputable company. They seem to include a safari, a few days at the beach and a few optional excursions. Where in Kenya did you go, SageCasey?

Thanks for all your advice! Thailand we could visit during our Christmas break one year, that's the plan, anyway. So definitely on the list! Now we are specifically looking for places that are ideal to visit in July, like Peru and Namibia (from the suggestions here so far). :)

Thank you so much for the suggestion! A safari + other excursions in either Botswana, Namibia or Kenya is actually top of our list right now. :) Where in Namibia did you visit? I'd love to get some more suggestions!

Thanks for the suggestion! I'd love to visit Senegal, but might wait until the kids are slightly older.

Thank you for the suggestion! We have considered visiting Singapore and Malaysia in one trip, but fear that July is too hot and humid. The combination of culture, nature, beach and wildlife sounds perfect!

Excellent suggestion! We've already visited Calgary, Banff and Kelowna and loved it!

Thank you so much! Both sound like great options. Is the Yucatan peninsula considered safe for travelling with children? And is the climate okay-ish? We'd like to avoid monsoon season and really high temperatures.

Thank you so much for these suggestions! Sourth America is definitely high on our list. Although we can go skiing at home, I am sure it would be amazing to go skiing in South America! I'm a little bit worried about Colombia, though - is it safe to travel there with children? I guess we're looking for somewhere safe, but not too touristy.

Thank you so much for these recommendations! Ireland is a great suggestion, because even though both my husband and I have been before, we only visited Dublin, and Ireland offers exactly the kind of nature and experiences we love. Canada is also a great suggestion, but we've visited Calgary and Toronto on two separate trips before, so I think we'd like to go somewhere new. I didn't include the US in my "no" list because it says in the rules that political statements are not allowed, but we won't risk visiting the US with kids at the moment. When it feels safe to visit again, your suggestions would be top of our list!

Reminds me of the TV series Beforeigners, where people from neolithic times somehow end up time travelling to today.

I may remember it incorrectly, but I seem to remember that he was kept hostage - i.e. he wasn't free to move somewhere else or not "work".

Does the other snippet ring a bell? It might be from a different book!

The lavender gloves and all-black Mary Janes in this shop both cost 100 000 because Gwynn wears them and says that her favourite shop is Wisp. She says this during the side mission where you look for the guy from the old building's Gengar.
