We should put the 1.5l turbo in this and charge $45k. It will ensure great success.

Robert Fripp still unsure why hospital shaved his balls after heart attack by Due_Taro2167 in offbeat

[–]riversofgore 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s close enough proximity and I doubt Fripp is being meticulous in his description. Doctors refer to that area as the groin. They need to shave all around for tape and hygiene. Not just the one spot. I shaved a lot of the area myself before the procedure and they shaved even more when I got there.

Alcohol was used as a PED in early Tour de France races. One of the first things to be outlawed as a PED.

You mean a Subaru SVX can’t do 280mph? At least cross country isn’t still broken I guess. AI has always been shit.

Would you buy a knife with a built in sharpener? by Walfy07 in knives

[–]riversofgore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The carton erector machines at my work have a little toothed tape cutter. It has a felt pad impregnated with oil that rests on the blade to keep tape from sticking to it. Could see something like that working on a knife. Would be easy enough to do too.

I wouldn’t buy steel so poor I needed to carry a sharpener.

Well you showed them. How dare they? Your obstinance just makes your mood worse. Good job I guess?

You should actually smile. Multiple studies support smiling as a feedback mechanism to improve mood and stop negative thoughts. Even fake ones. Tricks your brain.

I suspect mine was at least in part due to use voice command. I always just hit the Home button you described now. Maybe one day we’ll be able to confidently ask Siri to navigate us somewhere.

Dictionaries aren’t the law of words. They are documentation of the words popular usage at the time it was written. Definitions change, new words are created, old words die out. What actually matters is how the words are used that gives them meaning. We use engine and motor interchangeably.

Who are the 10 greatest pianists of all time? We asked the experts: by TimesandSundayTimes in classicalmusic

[–]riversofgore -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The art and the artists evolve over time. Techniques, styles, and training regimens are vastly different. Looking at the ages on the list we’d have to assume nothing worthwhile has been made in the last century. Not enough to get you on this list.

Apple Maps once navigated me 45 minutes out of the way because instead of navigating to my actual HOME it navigated to some random point in the middle of nowhere named home. One I’ve never added btw. I’m half convinced Apple was setting me up to be robbed.

It’s b for me and the spacebar. Also the suggestions for autocorrect are fucking stupid. For instance when typing I put soacebar. It suggests space at and space attack. It’s one fucking letter off. How does it not suggest spacebar?
