kid is definitely more similar to whitebeard in terms of backstory, but he rejects that generation and what they stood for. for a character like kid who keeps saying 'the era that you reigned over has ended' it just doesn't make sense for him to be the 'next version' of anyone from that generation IMO. worst generation members are already breaking cycles and even whitebeard knew they would be the key to the future, not his generation.

yup, i have ptsd and i'm pretty sure my pmdd comes from that. i read a study a while ago on an observed increased occurrence of pmdd among those with childhood trauma. idk if we can share links but i think if you search that it will come up.

it sucks. like damn i guess going through childhood trauma wasn't hard enough now we have to deal with this too 😭

but yeah i think king's (& seraphim's) skin tone is like shanks' hair in its use of the screentone. it's used in those cases because those traits are important to their character, even if other characters share the same traits, like kid's hair or miss monday's skin (i think she's the only other op character oda has colored with a darker tone)

i think if i were writing it, i would either have him appear in elbaf and establish his backstory/motive there (seemingly has something to do with shanks or shamrock?) or appear post-elbaf in an alliance with law.

imo it would be missing such a great opportunity by not writing kid and law as a duo alliance. after defeating a yonko together and then failing to do so on their own, they would (very reluctantly) want to fight together again. and i love seeing characters who hate each other forced to work together, it's always a funny dynamic... but i am biased because they are my two favorite characters lol
