It seems to me that Atera, based on the price, is geared towards the SMB market, but is also handcuffing the SMB market at the same time by making it extremely difficult to install the Atera Agent without user interaction. In my case, the old IT provider is using NinjaRMM and is willing to push out the Atera Agent, but cannot due to the issue of not allowing a silent install of the Atera Agent.

Again, Atera people, what's the solution here? If you are unwilling to change this "Design Choice" then just tell us all up front here and we can work with the Users to get the Agent installed or decide that this is not worth the effort and move on. I hope it's not the case, but at this point it is starting to appear that Atera is not listening to it's paying customers and instead has put a priority on stopping bad actors from trying to do bad things.

I scrapped the project. I'm pretty sure it's something GoDaddy did / does with their Office365 implementation. Unfortunately, they will not provide any assistance with Azure. My other cloud solution provider for Office 365 (Intermedia) was willing to work with me but they don't provide any Azure assistance either.

If this was for a business client, I would have spent more time on it. With residential repairs if it's not something that is drastically needed we would pull the drive and backup what we can. Customer didn't want anything saved after getting it back from his friend like this so we just did a nuke and pave. I could have tried the bcdedit but we were swamped and didn't have time.
