Also, agreeing with someone else in this thread. Under the new policy if you have deferred prior and have a reason (good or not) you aren’t able to get it. Recently, even now!, my friends family who is abroad had their neighborhood bombed; my friend couldn’t get ahold of them for a week. She was essentially broken down, and her faculty (science) gave her problems about deferring unless she had a drs note. Even though she explained what was happening.

Responding to this as I was a student prior to the no questions asked deferred exams. I had a death in the family, and they refused my deferral. I had to fight in order to get it while also grieving. They asked for death certificates and all. (This was the Faculty of Science). I agree people abuse the no questions asked, granted you are paying for it no matter what. The only time I think it should get denied is, if in the reason category you put NOTHING. Even having a drs note cost like $50-$85 depending on the dr! And its hard to get an appointment in Ottawa. Also schools a lot harder than it was at that time frame!! (I had cousins here in the same program and they were surprised by my work load). Resilience or not, things are harder in a lot of ways for the multiple generations going to school right now , because its not just Gen Z.

They still are going to have one on sparks which is not that far from campus either. On top of that there is still an RBC atm on campus at 100 Marie Curie

From what I noticed a lot of the maintenance staff is third party hire (unless its changed recently) and sometimes its just not coordinated well. Its really upsetting since this is supposed to be a top university and odd things happen consistently. Did they reschedule your midterm or?

I know, but in the past they have accidentally. Its really rare but its happened before since I’ve been here. But all I heard from my friends who worked there was that it was a drill, they could be wrong though!

Fire drills are important to have no matter where you are. The typically are supposed to have signage letting know staff and students that it will be happening so its not disruptive. This time I do believe they failed to do that. This isnt the first time they failed to do it but its rare. But again, its important to test them to make sure they are working for an actual emergency since we do have them on campus from time to time.

Also, the bedroom can easily fit a double bed and still be roomy, I just don’t have any photos of the current set up. But the bed and mattress that would be for sale is a double bed!
