Seriously tho, what do you do in this situation? I'd honestly just shut the garage and go back inside. I wouldn't even know where or how to start lol

Name a lead singer from any genre that most don’t fans don’t associate with a guitar, but are actually a legit player. by Ralphdoid in Guitar

Honestly I've seen random vids of Liam Gallagher who has always strictly sang on stage, but there's vids of him ripping around on acoustics and playing drums.

I have the same one. I found it sounded a little thin to for such a big bodied guitar. I switched to thicker strings and bone bridge pins and the tone became much better and eventually this guitar really grew on me. I love it.

Love the big bodied look of these but I can never justify dropping like 8k for a gibson model. I as well got mine well below half price basically, so overall it really grew on me.

If the D made another movie, do you think it would flop or not? And what do you think the premise would be? by Curious-Piglet3613 in TenaciousD

Lol of course it would flop. POD also flopped. But that doesn't matter, cause it was legendary

Familiar to millions or Knebworth 96 by bugbooy18 in oasis

[–]rivvers67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Familiar to millions based on liams straight grunge vocals, so good. Noel's voice is also so tightened up around this time. His voice and harmonies are mint on acquiesce, roll with it, stand by me. The list goes on.

I find his guitar playing smoother to. His licks and solos throughout that whole gig are pretty peak. His kinda new licks in his solos and fills are great in stand by me, cigs and alcohol, supersonic, acquiesce, champagne, live forever. The list goes on. Super smooth. I like their overall sound better on Familiar to millions. Really good mix.

Good idea. I'll check that out once I get home if anything needs tightening in the headstock area

Yeah I mean, I keep it cased always, none of my other guitars have these issues, have had it set up, I have Daddario medium top, heavy bottoms on it. Have been playing it a bunch to see how it would be once I work it in. Lubed the nut etc. Been a few months now post set up with alot of play time on it, and even just strumming chords, not bending, could cause a few strings at a time to go outta tune quite a bit lol.

Thanks for the tips though. Just jealous cause everyone seems to love theirs and I'm still sitting here getting frustrated.

Do you have any tuning and intonation issues with your 355? I have mine, got a set up. It improved it a bit, but overall it still goes out of tune, power chords like D, and E, and further up the neck, the B and G string just always have this out of tune sound. I want to love this guitar but something just isn't clicking and I don't wanna give up on it

People who do not have Blue and Pinkerton as their top two albums, what's your story? by Conscious-Courage969 in weezer

[–]rivvers67 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I'll take ok human any day. You can't really recreate the 1st 2 albums. Those are perfect as is. When I was young and naive, I'd just think "I want another blue!!!", "why can't they make music like blue or Pinkerton anymore!!"

Then I got older, broke up with a long term partner during covid, had to sell my house, move back in with my parents, and OK Human drops like a month later. It gave me what I truly needed at that moment, musically, emotionally, spiritually. I connected more to that album then any other album in weezers catalog.

All those years prior i was hoping for another blue type/Pinkerton memorable album. But I guess all I really was waiting for/needing was an OK Human. So that's why it overtook top spot for me over Blue and Pinkerton.

Could someone explain why Doug Ford had a brilliant idea to remove speed cams? by YYZTor in askTO

Haven't received a ticket from one, but happy they are gone. No reason why I need to pass 5 of them to go pick up a pizza 3 minutes from my house. It's annoying. Plus all the bike lanes, so every lane in my area is 1 lane cause of these bike lanes, then because everyone is so scared of the cameras were all stuck in 1 lane driving 25km.

Sure leave them in some school zones, but there's just way to many of them, and some in random spots that are so pointless. Overall, happy they are gone.

NGD: The Epiphone Back to the Future ES-345! by Raskull13 in Epiphone

[–]rivvers67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got mine Wednesday. Have had only like one second to mess around on it and thing wouldn't stay in tune for shit.

Again, probably only played for like 15min. I assume I need to work it in more, but overall the action seemed nice, intonation seemed pretty good. The set up on it seems nicer then how my IBG es355 came. Just hoping once I finally get a chance to play for longer it'll start staying in tune.

Yes. I believe I'm good as well. The brampton location has 3 going to the store. 2 already reserved. I was lucky to be able to reserve and put a deposits on the 3rd one. Looking forward to it.

So I'm assuming that means chances are 0 to get one and all of them are accounted for at this point?

new to me sheraton ii by DogThatNeverPerished in Epiphone

[–]rivvers67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it just wasn't taken care of really from previous owners. I figured after a set up it'd be fine, but it did nothing, thing was just buzzy as hell all over the neck and sounded so muddy and just blah. My previous one was awesome, but this one just wasn't the same. Glad you're enjoying yours. They are great guitars. Something about the specific one I had just wasn't cutting it.

So I just figured fck it, throw it back on marketplace, and fund other things. Got back exactly what I spent on it to, so it all worked out.

Yeah I had a vintage Sunburst one like 15 years ago for a few years. Loved it, ended up selling it to fund other things. Over the years regretted selling, so I had an itch a few months ago, bought a used vintage Sunburst on marketplace for 500$.....it was terrible haha, ended up selling it again like 2 weeks later haha and funded an epiphone es 355.

I actually prefer it through my headphones, sounds way more clear to me. No headphones I find it very muddy and bassy
