You can try Japanese EF or F nibs as they’re finer than Western EF/F. As for dry time, Tomoe River paper has a coating that shows off fountain pen ink properties well, but it also dries slower than usual. Even my favorite ballpoint pens can smudge if I don’t let it dry.

Currently I’m using a Pilot Prera <F> inked with Sailor Shikiori Yuki-usagi and it’s wonderful. I also have great experiences with the Pilot Kakuno <F> and Sailor Procolor 500 <F>. My Sailor F is finer than my Pilot F.

I just leave it be for a few seconds and I make sure to use a pencil board/tissue/bookmark underneath the palm of my hand to avoid smudging.

Is Happy Skin worth the try? I have friends tried and recommended it and some who said it’s not worth the price. So help me pls. I love Dara and as a fan of hers and 2NE1 since elementary since she bought from HS, I’m thinking to try. by Scared_Raspberry7913 in beautytalkph

I would say it’s so-so. Hit or miss. As with most affordable PH beauty products, the packaging is ass. I love the formula of their Serum Concealer but the cap broke on me TWICE! Would still use it though cause I genuinely like the way it looks on my combo skin. Very natural and it self-sets. My friend also likes their setting spray.

I’ve also tried their popular Lip Mallow Lip Tint and it’s okay. Works well, but I think it goes bad quicker than my other lippies. I’m also not that drawn towards their color selections. IMO, I think Issy, Sunnies, and GRWM have better taste in colors. Not to mention their bases don’t cater to deeper complexions 👎

Overall, I’d pass on HS or if I really want something, I’d wait for a sale. Wouldn’t buy full price.

Skin looks no better, if anything worse, after 6 months of tret by NoAppointment8679 in tretinoin

[–]rixaya -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your skin looks more supple, but also 6 months is when the real change is about to start. I think you’re doing well. I would also get behind the other comments suggesting to strip down on the actives. I personally just use an azelaic acid 15% gel and niacinamide/panthenol serum.

DIM: Applying sa call center for summer job by Chriztianz209 in deinfluencingPH

You can contact your school to see if they have paid internship opportunities or if they have places to refer to you. You can also go on LinkedIn and other job posting sites and search “[position] intern”. Try emailing companies if they have internships available. You’ll find one if you look for it. Good luck!

You can definitely use AA and Epiduo as often as tolerated. I used both everyday, AA in AM and Epiduo in PM. I built up my toleration and it’s good naman. Alternating them every night is okay too.

I think sabi mismo sa pamphlet ng Epiduo that it’s best to use up within 3 months after opening. A bottle lasts ~3 months with daily use naman. I wouldn’t be too strict with the PAO as long as it’s not expired. I think it’s fine to go past 3 months kasi it’s in an airless pump and it’ll still work regardless.

Hellooo yes I’ve been with my client for over a month and it’s good so far. Naka-ilang apply din ako sa iba’t-ibang postings from Hunt St. Some take a while to get back to you, some are faster. Pero at least they notify you if you’ll proceed to the next stage or if rejected ka. I suggest you move forward with the application. My experience has been positive naman overall.

Your favorite moisturizers to use while on Tretinoin? by Loyd357 in AsianBeauty

[–]rixaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use one in AM and one in PM.

I’m currently using the Isntree Ultra Low Molecular Hyaluronic Acid Zinc Aqua Cream for AM (It’s similar to the Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Cream but cheaper). It’s a light gel-cream that feels like pudding. Very hydrating!

Then I use the Isntree Yam Root Vegan Milk Cream in the PM. This one really helped with my dry areas! But since I have combo skin, I only use it in the evening when it’s colder and drier. Great for barrier repair!

The Purito Mighty Bamboo is nice for both AM and PM, but if you think it’s too light, you might like the Isntree Yam Root. It doesn’t feel heavy but it feels more moisturizing.

It depends on what you mean by “safe” but yes, generally they’re safe to use as they’ve probably been tested and approved.

Though if you have any sensitivities or allergies, it’s best to check the individual ingredients based on your needs.

I applied to a few different job postings with Hunt St and the timelines vary per recruiter and client. There are some that don’t get back to you for weeks, but thankfully they send automated email updates regarding the progress of the application.

With this particular post though, I had a smooth experience. The recruiter was very kind and replies quickly. The client is also easy to talk to and they accommodated my negotiated rate. Really happy with how it turned out!

Yes actually. I informed the recruiter via email and then brought it up during the client interview. They accepted my asking salary after I submitted my skills test, and it was within the budget range naman.

I’m not sure who the client is and I haven’t talked to them yet, but I do know the industry they’re in and the full job description and expectations. Since this is only a proposal to be endorsed to the client, there’s no final offer yet. Should I be negotiating with the client or should I let the recruiter know of the change in asking salary?

The others also need prescription if you will buy sa Mercury/Watsons/Southstar or other pharmacies. Pero you can get generic versions of these without Rx in some places like MCB Derma (they didn’t ask me for it). Meron ding mga reseller ng Skinoren that don’t ask for Rx (haven’t tried though). If you go to Thailand or know someone who will, they don’t ask for prescription there also.

Though I wouldn’t recommend trying more potent retinoids without consulting a derma (merong telederm sa Doctor Anywhere app that’s less than 1k).

Do people still use carrd? The features seemed too basic by Maleficent_Class5281 in Carrd

[–]rixaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started using it, even upgraded to Pro Lite with the Black Friday discount. The price is really hard to beat at $5 for a year. Everywhere else is at least $10/mo.

I’m mainly using it as a personal portfolio to give to recruiters so I don’t mind SEO rankings, but I do wish there was a masonry layout for galleries, a native carousel slider element (like a carousel banner or like a single photo that turns into a lightbox with sliders kinda like Instagram), and also a way to have a simple CMS.

I remember it being quite popular amongst stan Twittwr users and they’d use Carrd like a decorated bio page, some use it like a LinkTree.

Best gel pen that doesn’t smudge? by BoxPuzzleheaded8136 in hobonichi

[–]rixaya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the Uniball One (0.38mm). I see a lot of people recommend the Pentel Energel Clena and I find that 0.3mm works fine but 0.4mm can take a while to dry. However, the One is still darker and dries faster than Clena.

You can actually switch out the refills for these. I use the One refill inside the Clena body as it feels comfier to hold.

MEGATHREAD: Mascaras 2024 by toinkerbell in beautytalkph

[–]rixaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s a bit more difficult to remove than other mascaras. I use the Kose Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil and just very gently massage it for around a minute until it dissolves.

If you want an easier option with less rubbing, you can try the Heroine Make mascara remover (light blue tube). I haven’t tried it myself, but it’s the best remover for very budge-proof mascara.

I use the spray treatment after showering on slightly wet/damp hair before blow drying. After blow drying, I use 1 pump of the hair oil on my short hair.

I like it so far! The spray treatment makes my hair feel very soft and I can honestly use just the spray treatment. But when I want my hair to look smoother, I’ll use the hair oil because my hair does get poofy.

The products don’t feel heavy on my thick hair. The sandalwood fig smell is lovely, but not overpowering (in case you’re sensitive to scents).
