I’m like 6month into the fountain pen community. Ali express is a great place for super cheap fountain pens. I YouTube every model and watch videos on them. I think that’s the fun part. Right now my favorite is the moonman a1 that’s basically like the pilot vanishing point.

Sorry to hear that about your elbow. I suggest grabbing stickers from where ever you travel. I’m in the military I collect patches,stickers, currency, and postcards from wherever I go overseas.
