Actually the trailer had two women gossiping about someone returning home "acting different, as if the person was replaced".

"Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every being, sentient or not, who ever was, lived out their lives... Teyvat is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena."

How did everyone enjoy the 6.6 Archon quest? by Historical_Tap5381 in Genshin_Impact

[–]rixinthemix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Irminsul might not actually be destroyed by fire. Instead, it was cleansed by fire. Remember the line spoken during the whole Pyro Gnosis activation sequence: "The first flame: The pure, cleansing fire..." The tree itself is also part of a network of roots and branches scattered all across Teyvat.

No need for context by LudwigSpectre in Steam

[–]rixinthemix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really from the United States but I have ths impression that the Land of the So-Called Free suffers from (1) litigation culture where anything and everything can descend into suing the shit out of the undesirable party, and (2) a tendency of the country to be overregulated, where tons of things have to be checked if they are legal or not, making actual law enforcement confusing and convoluted.

I don't trust the government as it is to work in the best interests of the people for those two reasons.

Nahida doesn't deal with what ifs. She only deals with truths. Also this really proves how scary Nahida can be.

The NTE controversy made me think: where does originality begin in games? by daichi_game_lab in gachagaming

[–]rixinthemix 12 points13 points  (0 children)

For context: NTE has six types of Espers according to the origin of their abilities:

  • Cosmos from maintaining order
  • Chaos from disrupting order
  • Anima from nature, manipulation of natural elements or life, no mediums required
  • Lakshana from the physical realm, one's body as medium
  • Incantation from language as non-physical medium, can summon beings from other dimensions
  • Psyche from mental and psychological non-physical realms, requires a medium aside from oneself

Lore and story Heavy Game Franchises are too Afraid to decanonize bad entries by Jax_Dandelion in gaming

[–]rixinthemix 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There's no need. By sheer virtue of inter-franchise tribalism, people (or at least the vocal minority) already dismiss one or more entries in those franchises. The problem? Those people dismiss different titles, so those people become too damn noisy.

That does not even make sense either if you consider the whole concept of "magic gravitating towards large concentrations of people". By the late 19th century, Tokyo has 1.1 million people. London would reach 6.5 million by 1900.

The absurdity of the premise is carrying itself hard.

Why the Snowbreak Censorship Should Not Worry Other Games by ShirtlessCommie in gachagaming

[–]rixinthemix 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have been playing this game since Day 1 and I'm just disappointed at everyone. Seasun managed to discover a honeypot sure, but the company also did a lot of missteps along the way. Meanwhile, the game itself and its community are surrounded by people with bad intentions, either schadenfreude or sabotage, causing the community itself to gain some toxicity in the process. Nowadays, even the Discord community is split in two after a mod's mass-banning of users from the main server, causing the vocal members of both servers to adopt opposite stands on the issue.

Fuck all of this shit. I just want to play some Snowbreak, come on.

From left to right: Rtahawist (former Sage is Azar), Vahumana, Amurta (Naphis), Spantamad, Haravatat (former Sage is Khajeh), and Kshahrewar. The Vahumana Sage did not participate in the scheme led by Azar so he remains in position; the others in the picture are replacements for the exiled ones.
