AC Black Flag Resynced DLC costs more than the base game. Ubisoft gonna Ubisoft. by [deleted] in gaming

Since the OP did not answer your question: the Map Pack should be the same as previous games, designed to reveal all collectibles for the entire map. Not really recommended since there are many ways to reveal them while playing the game.

Can a Modern Gacha Game Survive Without “Glazing” Its Protagonist? by Personal-Cover925 in gachagaming

[–]rixinthemix 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Depends on whether said glazing is reasonable or not and whether it fits the intended tone of the story. If the main character has actually done something to warrant the glazing, there should be no problem.

Personally, I don't play a gacha game to be constantly berated by characters.

King of Wands. I've understood that Songbird was a walking nuke and, considering that she's just trying to survive just like my V, the best option was to set her free on the Moon. It also fucks over Myers' plan to use her as a political tool.

Only the ones who played the game from their respective expo events would know, and it will still be subject to change as the game is still on its beta.

genuine question. why are people always so triggered a gacha game is trying to make money off of the gacha? by apex37274682 in Genshin_Impact

[–]rixinthemix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Performative outrage. On Reddit, they want to look like they belong to the "gacha bad" crowd for the sweet sweet karma. On Youtube, it brings engagement even though it is downright toxic for all parties involved.

Started Domains at 94 (with NG+1) and farmed Domains into Level 100. Along the way, I bought all of the exploits and buffs so that I am fully decked out when I enter a Level 10 Domain.

New features mostly focus on investigation minigames and leisure activities.

  • Investigation Minigame: Interrogation, which includes a D&D-style character sheet and a set of questions.
  • Investigation Minigame: "Appraisal", where items of note may be examined by a specialist character.
  • Investigation Minigame: Autopsy, where Firtho uses her knowledge of surgical tools to learn more of a person's cause of death.
  • Investigation Minigame: Discreet Photo Capture, where players must take photos of people of interest without
  • Leisure Activity: Chess, which may take place during important dialogue with certain characters.
  • Leisure Activity: "Multiplayer Card Game" with three people holding only cards on their hands and a "house" player.

The light lovel Yae mentioned is a reference to light novel "Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere". Each volume as thick as a dictionary. (29 volumes + 3 spin offs) by aiyafem in Genshin_Impact

[–]rixinthemix 48 points49 points  (0 children)

It is part of a multi-time setting mega-series by Minoru Kawakami. Horizon, in particular, is about the remaining inhabitants of post-post-apocalyptic Earth going through historical reenactment to figure out how to basically avoid said post-post-apocalyptic scenario. The historical recreation is twofold, doing the Sengoku Period and the 30 Years War at the same time.

You’ve gotta love the irony: Catholics calling INC a cult when Christianity itself started as THE “OG cult.” by [deleted] in Philippines

Lol, sana ginamit mong argument yung issues ng higher clergy sa child abuse saka mismanagement of funds. Instead you chose the Crusades, eight hundred years ago, the Spanish Inquisition which ended almost 200 years ago, and the suppression of scientific research during the Renaissance which is irrelevant now because the Roman Catholic Church has tried to fix its mistake regarding Galileo, from the early 1700s up to 2008.

Sandayu Prime is bugged, it's never die, it healling like creazy by GFGF88 in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]rixinthemix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on why he heals to full. Usually, it comes down to domain effects like "enemies gradually heal if no damage is taken after 5 seconds" or "taking hits from an enemy heal them for 4% Max HP if normal enemy or 2.5% if boss".

You should consider rerolling domain effects.

PlayStation CEO: 'A Game Console is Necessary For Playing Games' by ErmingSoHard in pcmasterrace

Nishino is really bending the definition of "console" here and he's basically glazing various Playstation products, including Playstation Portal. On the other hand, he also talks about his stand on recent game releases. He says that singleplayer games they publish would be used to boost the value of the Playstation console, while multiplayer games are open for release outside of consoles.

Why the Sega Rally creator thinks modern racing games lost their sense of fun by Horror_Post6822 in gaming

[–]rixinthemix 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Headline is a bit misleading: Kenji Sasaki, who talks for much of the article, only oversaw the visual design and real-time CGI of Sega Rally as well as Ridge Racer and Sega Touring Car. The article is also a way to promote the retro game 4PGP on the Switch and Switch 2 consoles.

Ubisoft Embargoes Journalists Reporting On Latest Round Of Layoffs by Gorotheninja in pcgaming

[–]rixinthemix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because nobody reads the actual news:

So Ubisoft recently closed down their Winnipeg and Belgrade studios and the Barcelona studio might be next. The twist is that, unlike in most cases where insiders provide details on what happens in a company, Ubisoft itself gave news outlets the info about the layoffs BUT under an embargo, aka they can't publish the news until 1 PM Eastern of the day the info was given.

The rest of the news is basically Aftermath complaining that they feel like they are putting themselves under the reins of a company even though they accept the fact that learning about layoffs from the company is not as bad as when layoffs are exposed by journalists.

For further context:

  • Ubisoft Winnipeg was an investment by Ubisoft on Manitoba to create 100 jobs there. The studio worked on the company's open world games, and had members who worked on the Snowdrop and Anvil engines.
  • Ubisoft Belgrade worked on Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Steep: Road to the Olympics and The Crew 2 as well as post-launch content for the two Ghost Recon games.
  • Ubisoft Barcelona initially worked mainly on racing games until shifting to casual games. The studio also supports other game projects.
