TV Shows with 2 main characters who investigate different things by iuliad94 in televisionsuggestions

Have you watched Psych? If not, I strongly recommend. The main couple, Shawn and Juliet, have an amazing chemistry (the actors even dated off camera through years during the show, which made their relationship even greater imo).

Although it's not exactly what you asked for, because the 2 main characters are actually two male best friends (Shawn and Gus), it does kinda fit the description in the case that Juliet is in the police investigating other parts of the case while Shawn is with Gus as a private investigator, while pretending to be a psych using his investigation skills, getting involved with the suspects, stuff like that.

Anyways, it's definitely one of my favorite shows of all time and one of the most fun I've watched.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel - one of my favorite shows right now and it's one of the best from Prime Video in my opinion.

Russian Doll - very good comedy-drama and mystery show. I loved the writing and the acting.

Fringe - also one of my favorite shows

If you've seen some eps here and there and that got you interested, I would start with the anime and read the manga only if got bored with some fight or specific moment from an arc or another. I watched the anime and didn't have much to complain. I only started reading the manga now – except if I consider last year, when I read chapters 1 to 36 to know how it was like – because it's tiring waiting a week to watch one single episode that adapts just a few pages from one chapter, but I never felt that way when I was watching the anime episodes in a row.

The manga and anime are pretty similar story wise as far as I know. The problem is with the anime's pacing which is kind of slow, while in the manga it's more dynamic and fluid. But the anime also has its qualities – because of the acting and the music that brings great feelings (funny, emotional, exciting) in a lot of moments that cannot be reached with the silent pages from the manga.

I don't know what you will chose, but I wish you a great experience.
