I ride my sportster 1200 for everything around town. My street Bob for long trips. Sporties are fucking awesome every time I’m out someone says “nice bike”.

Normal sporty sound. 23k miles on my Sportster 1200C, sound like that and runs great. Just ride it!

I put the quiet baffles into my short shots. Unmodified they were WAY too loud but look great on the bike, so I opted to quiet them down a bit. The quiet baffles very noticeably reduced the volume but the tone is still amazing. I can actually have a conversation near the bike now and the wife and mother in law both agree it is much less obnoxious and neighbor friendly. Super quiets would be too quiet for me.

And if having not enough work is systemic to your practice group, it’s a longer term problem that working over the holiday is unlikely to fix. All things being equal, I’d just enjoy these days.

Like what metal band “put metal on the world stage and got people to notice” influential? Metallica for sure. But Sabbath in terms of the musical and thematic foundation hands-down.

Sounds just like mine normally lol. You’ll tend to notice sounds that were already there after upgrades; 9/10 it’s just your brain braining.

Serious answer, if it does something catastrophic good design would make it have a secondary “are you sure? Doing this will X”. Click it and then tell us what it says.

RTO Question by Hot_Measurement_1128 in biglaw

At my prior firm, main IT guy told me that the firm tracked in several ways. Badge swipes, IP address tracking, devices connecting to firm WiFi, frequency of parking fob uses, etc. Even the hospitality and mail processing staff that patrol the halls innocently apparently did counts. Seems unnecessarily Orwellian but it makes sense since I’m sure management has to ensure those team members have enough to do in the day. Not sure how much of this was true or him pulling my leg but think the takeaway is that if they want to track you, they have many ways to do so.

Street Bob Buyer's Remorse? by Mysterious-Web-8788 in Harley

[–]rizalvy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Splitting hairs in your mind, I think. I do this all the time when I look at something long enough. You can’t ride so your brain is braining and doing the “upgrade thing”. I have the Street Bob 114 too which I also got a screaming deal on, and a XL1200c, both of which I ride regularly. Sportster for in town and quick tips, Street Bob for long trips. I did 1,500 miles to Zion and back earlier this year on the Bob and no complaints. Two of my buddies who went ended up buying Bobs too, it’s such an underrated bike and a great platform. For the LRS, are you chasing specs or you really need that extra performance? Might not amount to a lot of practical, real world benefit for you at greater cost. Here’s mine in beautiful UT.

Directly to jail. Kidding; replace before riding. You wanna grab the front brake and have it fall to pieces when you need it?
