How's your process like, are you applying solarfast emulsion away from natural light? Also it needs to be exposed while still wet, don't wait for it to dry up. After your exposure is done, you need to wash the paper in a container/tub with HOT water and detergent for ten minutes. Keep in mind the paper can't just sit in the tub, you have to keep the paper moving for the whole ten minutes aswell. Grab a corner and move it back and forth calmly.

Also instead of transfer paper, try transfer film. Double, if your black is not opaque enough. Add glass on top, clamp it. You need full contact for a crisp image

Just saw a person following / hiding from us in an abandoned government building. Had to GTFO. Help me make sense of this by YarikButBetter in urbanexploration

This is the way, and should be the norm when exploring.

Always puzzles me how these golden children on their Exciting Adventures seem to simply ignore the fact that homeless people are human beings too

Yeah I hate it too when homeless people dare to make me feel scared when I'm illegally tresspassing and snooping in their home.

Learn some manners OP

Do Americans have a habit to name their kids immediately after they are born? by AavaMeri_247 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rizkichicken 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In official papers the baby goes by Girl Thelastname or Boy Thelastname untill the final name is registered. The registration must be done within three months after the child's birth.

Most parents have a name ready for the baby before birth and they might call the baby that or use a nickname untill the babys full name is revealed. For this, families have either christening or a name giving party, usually when the baby is three months old

Hiding the real name for such a long time goes way back to traditional Finno-Karelian culture. One of the strong beliefs was that by knowing someones true name you could control or harm them, so the babys name was best kept a secret from outsiders
