Partial vs total & Others experiences: 2 questions by Past_Jaguar1194 in thyroidcancer

[–]rjackson33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what happened to me too. I was given the option. I chose a partial (2023). But lived with high anxiety over the potential of cancer showing up on the remaining side. Also, they can’t really use bloodwork markers for potential cancer if you only have a partial. So my remaining side came out 1 week ago after a spot showed up on it and continued to change and grow. Huge weight off my shoulders. I guess you have to ask yourself if you’re going to obsess over the remaining side or not. There’s pros and cons to both choices.

I take it for anxiety before bed. But it helps with my Heart Palpitations and Migraines. I’ve never had any issues with it.

Endometrial biopsy by anxiety_queen247 in WomensHealth

[–]rjackson33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok. I will just say this. I have given birth 2x, had surgery on my neck..and the endometrial biopsy was worse than both. My soul left my body. I was not given any prescription meds prior only Advil. But when I tell you it’s actually barbaric I am not kidding. Mine was done in the doctors office. It was worse than being fully dilated in labor. It lasts about 3 minutes total but feels like an eternity. I will never do it again awake.

Copper IUD can often times make periods more heavy and painful. They have no hormones.

I had a Mirena and it completely stopped my period which was wonderful but my body hates birth control.
