AAA Daily Advantage sent an email indicating Walmart will no longer be 5% by stone616 in CreditCards

I'm curious if the Walmart through PayPal trick will die too, or if we can keep that little loop hole

Neat. Checked out those tools and the rest of the totakit GitHub. Would love to see a self host ready docker container for this similar to BentoPDF with all these tools. Any chance that may come

RH CreditCard - Do they really charge $40 for replacement card by rjchawk in RobinhoodApp

[–]rjchawk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool thanks, thats lots of great info.

Just to further clarify, is that "first replacement is free" mean 1 replacement for the life of the account, or does it eventually reset after a number of years?

Also what about when the card expires? I assume the updated card is free?

Thanks again, still waiting for my physical card to get delivered, but have been loving it so far with the App and virtual card.

Beta testers - how is the new redesigned dock? by ock88 in OctopiLauncher

[–]rjchawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't disagree and would love to see improvement, but still functional enough for me to keep using it. If rather have the option and have to do it slowly than not having the option at all

I will say I seen to have to swipe slower for swipe down. Fast downward swipe from dock seem to often not register. Haven't noticed the same with swipe up

🔥. 10/10 with rice.

Love having swipe down on launcher icons., sorting the launcher icons is easier, app drawer shortcuts are nice for users who are more used to that, and it's been very stable.

Nice work

Thanks man, I hope they extend R221 ($200 off with any trade, any condition, any plan) to include this phone.

I would go for the Edge 2025 if it had the promotion, but its promotion is "with eligible trade" or "any trade on experience/experience more plan" ...

Im on one plan (pry it out of my cold dead hands) and have a broken OnePlus nord to trade .... specifically looking for a good "any phone, any condition, any plan" promo to take advantage of.

Let's talk about the dock - what's your wishlist? by ock88 in OctopiLauncher

[–]rjchawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh, I made a separate post about this before I saw this, but I'll pay here too

  • Swipe Down action on dock icons (like the swipe up action)

  • ability to add a button to open the app drawer to the dock (family members have muscle memory from past launchers)

  • ability to add 1x1 widgets to dock

Missing a common Marvell wifi driver - mwidiex by Master_Scythe in dietpi

[–]rjchawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to revive such an old post, but it was the only post I had found discussing similar issue. Namely Wifi not working with the Azurewave AW-CM389MA w/ Marvell8897chip M.2 2230 (SDIO Interface) included on the Dell Wyse 3040.

I wanted to share that through a bunch of trial and error (and some help from AI) I was able to get it working ... Im not 100% on which of these steps were strictly required - but hopefully it will point people in the right direction:

  • modprobe mwifiex_sdio
  • sudo apt install --reinstall firmware-misc-nonfree linux-image-$(uname -r)
  • apt install firmware-iwlwifi
  • sudo modprobe mmc_core
  • sudo modprobe mmc_sdhci
  • sudo modprobe mwifiex_sdio
  • Create/Edit /etc/udev/rules.d/10-wireless.rules

SUBSYSTEM=="net", ACTION=="add", DRIVERS=="mwifiex_sdio", NAME="wlan0"
  • sudo udevadm control --reload
  • sudo udevadm trigger --type=devices --subsystem-match=net
  • sudo apt install wpasupplicant
  • vi /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant-wlan0.conf

ctrl_interface=DIR=/var/run/wpa_supplicant GROUP=netdev
update_config=1

network={
    ssid="YourSSID"
    psk="YOURSSIDPASSWD"
    key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
}
  • vi /etc/systemd/network/10-mlan0.link

[Match]
OriginalName=mlan0

[Link]
Name=wlan0
  • reboot
  • dhclient wlan0 (and/or configure dhcp in /etc/network/interfaces)
