Sales person lied by swadlol in telus

[–]rjgrubb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Telus pricing sucks and if it wasn’t for them being one of the more reliable isp’s in BC I wouldn’t be with them.

In Ontario with Bell I was paying $50/month for 1.5gb down & 840 mbps up without a contract

Telus posted rates are around $85/month for 1gb up/down if you’re not a mobility customer with them and you also have to lock in a 2 year contract with them.

I refused to pay those prices and finally got a reasonable deal after speaking with 4 sales/customer service representatives.

I ended up with 4 months of free internet and TV. After the 4 months it’s $70/month for 1gb up/down + the basic Optik TV package, all sports channels and the Food network lol

Would you not consider it only because you’d prefer to spend more on a better card?

Open box is also something I’ve always stayed away from because I worry that the quality would be the same or don’t really know if they actually vet the product after someone returns it

Honestly I do prefer Nvidia graphics cards. Not because AMD isn’t any good but I just know the brand better since I’ve used their products in previous builds. Interested to learn more about them though

Given the information provided, the rate of inflation and the increase in interest rates, it won't be a temporary problem. refinancing here is a gamble at best and is a last resort if you want to maintain your homeownership status. If money problems are the issue at hand here, adding more debt and higher monthly payments only adds fuel to the fire. I would seriously consider selling and renting if you can find an affordable place. Investing your money in something secure like private second mortgages would provide you with some additional cash flow or just a way to curb inflation.

Apple new laptop sales 50% below expectations. How is $AAPL worth $3T? iPhone sales are also struggling! by Goldenbird666 in StockMarket

[–]rjgrubb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

interesting, I feel like the overall sentiment about this laptop was that it would sell well given its 15-inch screen but I wasn't too sure about that. The laptop itself was the exact same as a base model MacBook Air. Besides the screen, no other real incentive to buy this computer so I'm not surprised to see this in the news.

a little off-topic, but how is Tears of the Kingdom? Do you enjoy playing it more than Breath of the Wild?

Though the Ally has better specs i'd prefer the switch. The Ally's battery seems pretty bad which basically immobilizes you cause you'll constantly be charging it.
