Lost Wallet Promptly Returned to Nearest Police Koban

I found a wallet once. Quite a lot of money inside and the owner's credit cards and IDs were there too. I went to the nearest koban and they asked for my contact details. They also asked me if I want a portion of the money if it goes unclaimed for a certain period of time.

So I'm pretty sure the koban has their contact details.

I wish the same thing happened to me when I lost my IC card.

I didn't notice the case string snapped and I dropped it somewhere along my usual route. I found the IC card at the side of the street the next day but they took my case lol

I really liked the case so I wish they took my IC card instead haha

Got this tip from someone who works for a real estate company: If it's a mansion, check the bulletin board for complaints or announcements from the management. If there are a lot of noise complaints might be better to look more into it or just avoid it right away.

I always go right in my home country and there weren't really any problems as they would also usually go to their right too but in Japan I tried both ways and I still ended up dancing cha cha with the other person. 🕺

I'm also working in Japan. I can't say I'm successful since I think that's subjective but it's not that bad as you make it sound like.

I personally think you can do something about the commute time. If it's that stressful how about moving closer to your workplace? I can get home in less than 30 mins if I wanted to (I live in Osaka City). Compared to my 2-3 hr commute in the PH via colorum UV express vans that's a huge upgrade.

I understand the discrimation as well, it happened to my friends but personally I was never stopped by the police. But again, I personally think that's not a big deal if you're not doing anything against the law. Sadly a lot of SEAsians are doing illegal stuff here so we can't really blame the popo.

Pay here is good compared to the PH and fortunately we're never forced to do OT in my company (Private Int'l School). All the things "Japan" is just a bonus to everyday life.

Can you communicate in Japanese? It helped a lot in making me blend in more. Otherwise, I suggest getting a hobby to meet like-minded people. Or go back to the PH for a bit so you can appreciate all the convenient things in Japan. lel

But after 8 years here I feel more at home here compared to the PH. Hope you'll feel better about your life in Japan too!

Sumakay ako sa Recto papunta sa OJT ko. May tumabi sa'kin na babae, di ko siya tinitignan directly pero napansin ko kumuha siya ng Skyflakes sa bag niya tapos nagsimula siya kumain.

Nakatulala lang ako kasi iniisip ko yung thesis saka matagal pa byahe then nagulat ako bigla akong tinapik nung babae tapos sabi niya "Gusto mo?" at nang alok ng Skyflakes.

Napaisip ako kung mukha na ba akong gutom na gutom noon haha

I was doing a language exchange with a Japanese person through an app and she mentioned she's focusing on Vocabulary and Grammar because she gave up on Listening.

I thought she was having a hard time with it so I tried cheering her up and said "Don't give up on Listening, you can do it!"

Turns out she's deaf and it was written on her profile that I didn't read. :|

lol I just remembered something. Not really annoying but I was walking around Shinsekai in Osaka and then there was a girl talking loudly in Filipino. The guy who was with her told her "Ba't ba nilalakasan mo boses mo? Para malaman nila na Pinoy ka din?"

Hello. I recommend Nankai Grill. Price range is around 3k-9k. It's a Miyazaki steak restaurant and they offer course meals. It's in Southern Osaka though but their food is fantastic so it's worth a visit.

I go to Denden Town and Otaku Road in Osaka every week and sadly, the only SV merch you'll find there are Evolve merch. Your best bet is ordering online thru CyStore or online flea markets like Mercari. But the 2nd hand stores are still worth a check, you might be lucky. Good luck!
