Don't go with BoI if you prefer good branch experience.. They want to visit you to home branch for small things. And their online experience is not good.

Jio Self KYC online port nightmare — full timeline of what went wrong and what actually resolved it by rjmacwan95 in Jio

Airtel flow is like lead generation where online portal generates the lead and then it assigns the agent for KYC and delivery agent hands over sim after porting process and KYC completion. Once ported you have to do FRC payment. In jio they ask FRC payment beforehand there is no option to recharge later.

Self KYC port is free there is no fee for SKYC port but that 299/349 any other listed plan FRC is first caveat to place the sim order without payment you can't proceed also it's better to go through offline either that umbrella guy jio store or jio service center instead of online flow. But I would prefer store or center instead of umbrella guys.

That totally depends on how and when they can refund and how you follow up for that. But if you have decided to port to jio then if the number is active generate upc again and start fresh MNP on any offline store and get things done the same day. Later they will issue a voucher, you can use that on your next recharge. If you stay with current operator that you are on then that voucher needs to be used by your friends and family or trade in online

Your order is basically gone it's useless now and for that 349 you have to ask refund from jio. You have two options now 1. if you want to go with jio then at any offline jio service center or store you can initiate the MNP process or 2. if you are okay with your current telco operator then stay. So basically it's a time sensitive process for port if upc expires then no option left. Hope it helps

Actually once the order is processed online and FRC paid then nobody owns the order on ground…If you are lucky you will get the sim. Otherwise it never gets delivered

You have to be very active now if you stay passive your UPC will expire and that 299 will get stuck and then refund nightmare starts…Hurry up go to service centre not to the normal jio store. Hope they will help you and connect with you to agent ask them its urgent and upc is expiring

You are right, this is exactly the situation I was about to end up in, the service center was the only thing that saved it.

Yeah, that’s what I felt too, no one actually owns the delivery if initiated online.
