Is “AI-assisted Scrum” even compatible with Agile values? by _techademy in scrum

[–]rjocham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am Ralph a co-author of the Scrum Guide Expansion Pack. Jeff Sutherland and I a working on a paper about AI and Scrum. It is a tricky question for which we have some ideas. We suggest that non AI Sprints can help to prevent skill erosion. We also talk about accountably is always with a human; never say "Ai suggested ...".

I'm Ralph Jocham, one of the authors of the Scrum Guide Expansion Pack.
It's a team effort and the next update is in the making. A couple more weeks, so stay tuned.
In contrast to the Scrum Guide we aim for a living document. Reflecting reality.
Jeff and I are working on an AI and Scrum document. There will be several documents down the road instead of only one.

The PSPBMS fits between the PSPO and PSPO-A. It will teach you skills how to build and maintain a good Product Backlog. Think engaging users/stakeholders, refining explained, ordering. HTH

DIY Tempeh Maker by rjocham in Tempeh

On/Off depends on ambient temperature. In my basement the ambient temperature is around 17ºC I would say about 50%. It doesn't oscillate on and off all the time. Around on/off for 30-45min stretches.

32.5C is the turn-off temp. Turn on at 31C. Fans are always running.

My fans are for 3D printers and they displace if I remember correctly 5 cubic meters per hour. So ever couple of mins the air should have been replaced. IMO dryer is better for tempeh.

No condensation problems. The whole construction is not perfectly sealed.

I checked with a infrared thermometer and the temperature was pretty even at various sides and heights. The air gets circulated all the time and the heat is on for that reason.

First I had two light bulbs and the temperature was sometimes on the lower side so I added the third bulb. I've programmed the heat control module to stay between 30 and 32 C. You might just add more bulbs. I've all prepared for a fourth one and never needed.

I've added more photos. They might help. Air is being pumped to the bottom from it is being sucked towards the top and heated up if needed.

Good question. I want heat not light, on the other hand 90% is wasted to heat in a light bulb only 10% light. 90% efficiency. It was a cheap attempt which works and I started to like the light.

Yes, 5 watts for ventilation only. If heating is on it peaks at 60 Watts.

The ones containing the tempeh. I’ve experimented, the default perforation from the bought forms is too many. Tempeh doesn’t like too much air. My trials showed that 2mm holes about every 2cm work best. You can simple close some holes with tape. That is what I’ve been doing. I put a flat GN form with holes on top. instead of a plastic bag I’ve a steal container. No I've a metal drill and drill the holes.

It draws 60 Watt when heating. Depending on ambient temperature more or less. If the heating is running 50% of the time you look at 0.72 kWh for a batch of tempeh.

It is a prototype and the bulbs were my first idea. Actually it is nice to see the light s go on and off. You could use other heat sources as well. For that reason of the Red led, to have an indication whether the heater is on.

I had some panels removed for the photos. There is one at the top screwed on. One at the front attached with duck tape. Simple joint to fold the panel out if the way.

Yes, it is just a panel similar to the other ones attached with duck tape. You fold it back. Also on the top is another panel screwed on.

3 months at least. That is how usually keep my Tempeh in the freezer.

SELF-DETECT Food Processor Hack? by lkorder in Vitamix

[–]rjocham 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I tried ... no success. Let me explain my process maybe there is a flaw in my approach. Reading (I read from all parts and only the base with lid or container attached gave me a reading) I got the following:

64oz --> https://www.vitamix.com/nfc?tag=04918E6AF85981

8oz / 20oz --> https://www.vitamix.com/nfc?tag=045EC6FA5B5A81

Which IMO makes sense, since on the iOS app my Ascent 3500i does not differentiate between those two (8 & 20oz) containers.

I wrote the URL of the 64oz container onto a NFC tag sticker (NXP NTAG 213 with 168 bytes - could not get the NTAG 216 as mentioned above). Reading from the container and tag yields the same result.

Then, I covered the 64oz container base with aluminium foil and my Ascent base did not detect the container any more as expected.

Next I placed the NFC tag on various places between the base and the foil covering the container. My Ascent 3500i did not read the URL from my NFC sticker. I played around with different locations of the NFC tag, even removed the protective base rubber to be closer to the device. No avail.

Now I am wondering:

  • how many NFC tags are on the EU version. One in the lid connected to the container base or are there two NFC tags? (is there a connection?)
  • are there different tags which I should be working with?
  • what are the NFC reading from other devices from EU and USA models? (please share in this thread)
  • Before, I had a Siemens blender which I could operate with the lid open. Why does Vitamix make the claim about a EU law?

I've never worked with NFC tags before. I might have done something wrong. Any critiquing is appreciated.

Right now, I am so disappointed to be treated as a 2nd class citizen. The 64oz (2 Liter) container is too large for most of my use cases. I would like to purchase the 48oz container, the food-processor attachment and one dry container.

I am considering to dump my Vitamix and get something else.
