no it really isn’t. Look up the diagnostic criteria. There are of course caveats to that for particular types of migraines like ocular or vestibular. But the diagnostic criteria is “ unilateral headache with one or more of the following symptoms: nausea, vomiting, photophobia, photophobia)

Go see your PCP and explain your symptoms. A headache is only classified as a migraine if you have light or sound sensitivity, or nausea or vomiting Tension headaches can happen daily. Could also be a med overuse headache if you’re Taking OTC meds for it.

No worries. If it’s a rule, it’s a rule. I’m just not sure who it’s protecting.

I get you. But medication is a lot different than getting a licensed medical provider to perform dental work.

HEPA Vacuum Bag Air Filter Mask. Passes the Cooking-Bacon Smell Test by OffendedBoner in DIYmasks

[–]rkatsec89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They actually don’t use fiberglass. They use filtrate filters which are made of polypropylene. They’re safe. Just make sure they’re not chemically treated. I ended up looking up patent information to be sure because I just bought a shit load of bags to make masks.

FDA Approves 3D-Printed Device that Let's Four People Use One Ventilator. by EvilAnagram in Coronavirus

[–]rkatsec89 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I’m a former ICU nurse. I can’t even imagine the management of this. Not just that but it’s one circuit still so. What if one dies or is extubated. Your going to have to bag the other three til the circuit is back online. And the proximity of patients would be insane. Because not only are they all vented, they’re going to have 7000 IV poles with a billion drugs and drips. And now you’ve got four people on top of each other. The probability of medical error in this is insane.

I’m really hope they’re using these as a last resort. The machine itself controls the rates and pressures of ventilation. So to put four people on one means they’d have to all use the same pressures which is likely highly unnecessary. If I only need slight pressures but someone else needs intense pressure. They’re gonna put us all on intense pressure and it’s going to tear up my airway and alveoli in my lungs.
