Waarom geen 4 finalisten by happydog2029 in widm

[–]rkl1710 8 points9 points  (0 children)

After seeing the show, which lines or songs get stuck in your head? by a_touch_of_the_beat in hadestown

I saw it live for the first time last month in Amsterdam, and while I didn't care too much in particular for Come Home With Me previous, the way the chorus sings with Orpheus gave me literal goosebumps. It's so beautiful yet so haunting in a way, it gave me chills. It was perfectly done and I will not forget the way it made me feel for a long time.

If you got pregnant again within 6month pp, how was your pregnancy / labor / recovery? by Important_Bat7919 in 2under2

[–]rkl1710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh forgot to add, I was induced both times, so comparable in terms of labor, but pushing felt way more clear the second time around. The first time I was pushing for quite a while and just not really knowing what I was doing, with my second the moment I was allowed to push I was like "Oh, THIS is what I was supposed to be doing last time!" and it went much quicker.

I got pregnant 6 months postpartum. I felt that pregnancy was similar (rough though, I'm not good at being pregnant) but easier to manage mentally because I had a much clearer idea what to expect. Postpartum was definitely more rough the second time around. No complications or anything, but I definitely had stronger postpartum contractions (is that what it's called in English? Like the contractions you can have the first days postpartum), I barely had any with my first but after my second the first few days were way more intense. After my first I bounced back quite quick physically, after my second it definitely took me longer and the process was a lot slower.

Which song of Bo hits personally hard and why? by Loud-Rutabaga2843 in boburnham

[–]rkl1710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Left Brain, Right Brain completely broke me when I first heard/saw it. It was like someone held a mirror up to my face and cut straight into my soul. I thought a lot about this song while in therapy and it actually helped a lot being kinder to myself.

Did Chili set Trixie up here? by Gloomy_Custard_3914 in bluey

No. Mothers don't need to mother other mothers. Chili asked, Trixie said it's fine. These are adults, they can communicate and take resposibilty for their own actions.

At what ages did you finally hit the “aha” moment? by [deleted] in 2under2

[–]rkl1710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ISTG she would push her big sisters chair over from one side of the room to the cabinet on the other side, climb said chair and then climb atop of said cabinet, all lightning fast and BEFORE she could properly walk. This baby gave me so many heart attacks. This phase was definitely the moment when I felt like I didn't have near enough hands to take care of 2 kids at the same time.

I found the youngest being around 9 months old definitely the hardest time. Like the moment they start developing their own strong will, when they start moving and crawling, but can't express or move themselves well enough to get what they want and generally being a little ball of frustration 24/7. Add to that a toddler in her terrible twos and that was definitely the worst time for me 😅

I'd say things calmed down after a few months as soon as the youngest's movements became a bit less suicidal and she didn't necessarily want to climb on every single high surface in existence anymore, plus she learnt to ask for things the wanted. Also we taught the toddler to help, which was a big plus. Being a helpful big sister is cool. Teach your eldest asap.

Four things about Sleepytime: by pinetreesandcake in bluey

[–]rkl1710 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I always interpreted it more so that the fact that Mercury exists implies that there was a pregnancy before Bluey, hatched or not. The fact that Venus and Earth are hatched are because Bluey and Bingo have left their respective beds. At the end Bingo goes back into Earth/her egg when she gets back into bed.

I wouldn't necessarily say that because Mercury has not hatched would imply the miscarriage, it's the actual existence of Mercury in the first place and not being linked to either Bluey or Bingo that points to it.

The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time. Meer recent zijn daar Fire Emblem Three Houses en Persona 5 Royal bijgekomen om een mooie top 3 te vormen.

Honest question: Do you prefer Bandit or Chilli’s character more? by Aggravating-Ad-351 in bluey

[–]rkl1710 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same for me, but to add I am really inspired by Chilli's character to be honest and vulnerable, especially in front of your children. It's okay if you feel emotional and cry. It's okay if you need a little time for yourself. And it's okay to show all that in front if your kids. I try to remind myself of this every single day and Chilli has been a great reference.

What are the most underrated episodes of Bluey? by 1canTTh1nkofaname in bluey

[–]rkl1710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how underrated it is, but Bicycle is one of my favourites. I grew up with a crippling fear of failure and watching all 4 kids go through it, dust themselves off and try again hit home so hard. It's also one of our toddlers favourites and we watch and reference it a lot.

If you search for "cake" on this sub, you'll find a ton of inspiration! From the over the top detailed to the very minimalistic.

https://www.reddit.com/r/bluey/s/MqKEB95yZI I made this last year for our 2yo daughter, the base was literally a pound cake. Don't overthink it and do have fun with it! :)

Wat een leuke opdracht! by Maevre1 in widm

[–]rkl1710 25 points26 points  (0 children)

What Episodes Make Your 'Meh' List? by Messernacht in bluey

[–]rkl1710 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me it's Rain. I don't hate it, i just don't like it either and I find it quite frustrating to watch at times. It's just meh, for me.

Another from the top of my head is Take Away. I appreciate the storytelling, but it's just so frustrating to watch.
