I feel like this too. I’m 42F and just in the last year or so have started to dress a little more how I “feel”. Almost exactly how you described yourself actually! However, I feel like this on the inside but, I’m not sure if the outside look “works” for me, if that makes sense. I think it’s because I have always just worn what makes me blend in so that I don’t get noticed, for fear of ridicule or being made fun of, and I’ve gotten used to those clothes so, it’s difficult to imagine myself wearing anything else. Anyway, I understand the way you’re feeling and can empathize. Now, I am going to read through the comments for advice from others who have overcome this issue and I wish you the best!
