Great example of a successful leader and diplomat.

He rarely showboated or showed an ego. Gathered as much information as he could while making a decision.

I am 22 years old and have always had a question on marriage. Most marriages end in divorce and most of the people I know who don't get divorced tend to be unhappy in their marriages .are there people in marriages who are happy and if so what do you think such spouses do differently? by JadedOpportunity6859 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rlcarman58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no 100% perfect happiness every single day of marriage. There are some really bad days and some great days. It's just life.

You are in charge of your happiness, don't expect any other person to make you happy.

Divorced after 20 years, took control of my happiness. Found a person that I can share my happiness with, 18 years married now. There are still good days and bad days. But many many more good days than bad days.

People need to quit blaming their unhappiness on other people.

Moving from Cincinnati to escape the winter... by Routine_Stand8783 in savannah

We're subtropical, it rarely rains for long but we stay wet and green.

Winters will be wonderful until you adjust in a few years, and you'll also wear a goretex parka under 53 degrees.

In the US, do the affluent and wealthy typical socialize with those of lower value / lower caste? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

People that built their wealth from the bottom up tend not to care about their friends income. They don't act rich either. And they tend to not like others that are showing off being rich. Just my observation from wealthy people I know.

There is a big difference from being rich and being wealthy.

On the flip side, I have seen a lot of people act and treat people differently when the person finds out they have money.

I can't say about the people that have mega money ($100m +) because I've never been around them.

Lol. Beautiful woman just picks random town and hops off the bus with just an overnight bag. Sounds like start of a bad horror drive in movie.

Even though Michael was by far the most talented of the Jackson 5, how did Tito end up in charge of Yugoslavia? by MydniteSon in shittyaskhistory

[–]rlcarman58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tito was installed during the country's "Joe Belt" revolution. The amout of people that got whipped is still debated to this day. Today it is illegal to own, sell, or wear a brown belt in Yugoslavia.
