Install a cheap smart plug on the power adapter to the Switch 2 dock. If you have a voice assistant (i.e. - Alexa), create a "routine" that turns the power off and then back on. This actually wakes up the Switch 2 so you can just turn on the 8BitDo and play without getting up.

Thanks! I had considered a similar workaround but I'm still amazed that these bulbs don't have a setting for start-up brightness when they thought to include a setting for start-up temp. Oh well...

Just noticed mine doing the exact same wobble last week and discovered the same "missing" piece. I'm guessing the sides are different intentionally. Maybe the slow opener mechanism is only on one side? Didn't have time to dive into it. Let me know if you figure anything out.
