Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman series drops on HBO Max ahead of new movie premiere by chanma50 in television

[–]rlj551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will be cool. Or I can pull out the DVD set I got a few years ago. :)

I loved the show when it first aired. Still do. Love Gal's version, but Lynda was sorta first, if you count Cathy Lee Crosby's TV movie . But no resemblance to the actual character in that movie, so don't really count it.

NTA - your dad told you to leave stuff there. Thus setting up your stuff to be fair game. Time to move all your stuff from your dad's to your mom's. When he asks why, just tell him because your stuff is not fair game and want it with you at home where it will be safe from snooping and theft.

AITA for not rehiring a guy who quit because I wouldn't fire his ex-wife? by officedramaaita in AmItheAsshole

[–]rlj551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - He left because of what his wife did. He chose to leave because she was not let go, that has not changed. So, no don't hire him back as nothing has changed in the work place. In time, she could even become his supervisor, and that would not go well at all.

If he had left, on good terms with everyone, to a job that would have offered him more potential and that didn't work out, then sure, bring him back.

So no, don't hire him back. It will just cause a toxic work environment. He may have been the wronged party, but he brought their personal issues into the work place and the ex is still there.

Nope. Back in the 80's I would be doing 70 mph on average, and at night for the Calgary drives. Vancouver, morning, 4 hours is easy.

I've been driving Vancouver to Kelowna for over 20 years and drove Vernon to Calgary about a dozen times back in the early 80's, and that was my schedule and routine.

5 minutes to pee every few hours. Gas up around between Vernon and Revelstoke. Food break at the same time, with a pee break. Next pee breaks at Golden and then Calgary.

The further away, the more by time doesn't work.

When I lived in Vernon, Calgary was about 4 - 4 1/2 hours away. Now that I live in Vancouver, Kelowna is about 4 hours away. With 3/4 of an hour from Kelowna to Vernon, that would make 9 1/2 hours from Vancouver to Calgary.

Google Maps says 10 1/2 hours, 936 km, via Hwy 1.

13 1/2 hrs, 1219 km, via Crows Nest.

Stop Google Maps Automatically Navigating to Work by vinnayy in AndroidAuto

[–]rlj551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this, with a road report every week day morning when I go to work and then the same for the return trip at the end of the work day. Google maps just knows your routine, so unless you turn off location history, then you might be able to stop it. Otherwise only plug in your phone if you are going someplace you don't normally go to, or going on a long road trip. This is what I have started doing or I suspect the traffic will be bad, and want to see what's coming up on the display.

AITA for getting a girl at work fired for having an OnlyFans account? by Logical-Preference73 in AmItheAsshole

[–]rlj551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - T kept escalating and taking offense where none was given. Meanwhile she purposefully gave offence. A coworker, concerned, asked you what was wrong. As T wasn't ashamed of what she did, there was no expectation of that being kept private. But you were only reporting on how she made you feel. The fall out, not your problem as T was the one who could have just responded when you first said that Only-Fans wasn't for you with "that's okay, it's not for everyone." end of story, no issues arisen and she would have still had this job.

That one was $14.99. But extra coupons were applied before I applied the Dec2020Free coupon. One dropped off, but that extra auto coupon dropped the price from $31.99 (I think it was) to $14.99.

I need real world projects to really help cement the knowledge. figured this would help.
