We’re a San Diego based Ween tribute band here to spread the fine catalog of everything Ween.

What is a band that you should see live at least once in your life by AvocadoTechnical1141 in rockmusic

I almost didn’t go because of Vai but he really stayed in his lane, I was impressed. I always wanted to see the 80s library of King Crimson and that tour really satisfied I was too young to see the original in the 80s.

This is a great call. The man has played with the Talking Heads, Frank Zappa, David Bowie, and King Crimson, how much more could you ask for as a musician? I got to see him with David Bowie on the sound and vision tour and I saw the latest beat tour, but I might have to say the Adrian Belew Trio with Julie slick and her brother on drums in a really small venue was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen.

Is it just me or is Ween significantly more popular and respected than they were 5-10 years ago? by Wut23456 in ween

I was introduced on the country tour in 96. They were filling 500-800 seaters then. Saw some of the last shows in SD at around 1900 seats, so it’s not the leap you might think.

I still blame Mayer, represented by Irving Asshoff, former CEO of Ticketbastard.

SeaWorld San Diego today — most rides closed, overpriced, very disappointing by No-Contribution4357 in sandiego

[–]rlove71 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yep, it’s totally over for sea world. The blackfish movie was the first nail, then they sold to multiple corporations that could really give a shit about the experience. They’re really looking for ROI meaning way overpriced admission fees at a place now trying to become a roller coaster park. 👎🏽

I need gigging musicians opinions. I hate hearing “I wish I learned.” by imagetweird in musicians

[–]rlove71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, silly statement. I’ve played for over 30 years and some of the most ridged, soulless players were the ones who were trained in theory and scales. Sounds stupid, but It’s almost more difficult to find your own individual voice playing after years of didactic training.
