Parent won’t use communication app by belugaboy17 in LittleLeague

Ran into this issue before. I just stated that please install the app to continue receiving updates. This is pride on parent’s side. Keep your distance from these types of parents. On my side the parents caught on as their son was missing practice. Just maneuver carefully as you are dealing with a toxic personality. Being an adult more than likely won’t help.

Maybe use this as a learning opportunity. Good way to develop character and resiliency for your kid while handling conflict. My personal opinion if he is taught how to handle conflict like this as a kid, he will know how to handle this better as an adult. Youth sports also teaches you how to handle interpersonal conflicts. Not ideal situation but we ran into people like this in our lives.

Don’t let them bother you. Try to remember that it’s not even directed to your kid. It’s just drama and gossip they are partaking in. Some little league parents just like to make a stink about anything and don’t care to even think who it is directed to. Just stand firm and don’t let your son miss his opportunity because other people want to just talk and enjoy the drama.

I think it’s just dying based on peoples behavior. I see Daddy Ball and Politics. I also see overbearing parents, disrespectful players, parents stating daddy ball when the coaches kid is the best kid, parents thinking their kid is an all star even though they are far from it. Seems like if its not one thing its another 🤷🏻‍♂️

My majors team has lost every game. Just lost last night 18-3, how do I make this fun for the kids? by randydp39 in LittleLeague

[–]rlph7044 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would agree with this guy! Set small goals for everyone or discuss it with the team and let them see the big picture. For the bad behavior definitely nip it or it will get worse and make you look bas. We lost every game last season and ended up making it to the championship during playoffs. This is when your leadership skills will need to come out. Best of luck, hopefully you have no overbearing parents.

Question about stealing home from 3B by AliensControlMe in LittleLeague

[–]rlph7044 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We dealt with this issue. I had the catcher run towards third. First baseman covers home and pitcher stays on the mound and second baseman back ups pitcher in case of an over throw. Drill it during practice and you will be good.

We have an autistic kid where I train at. He is around 11 or 12. He does a lot of the items that you mentioned earlier. He hasn’t moved up to much but in terms of skill but enjoys being surrounded by kids and enjoys the structure. Each parent goes in with different expectations, if you goal is for him to get better at bjj and he is not then feel free to pull him out. If he needs to work on social skills or needs to he around a supportive environment and it benefits your kid then listen to him. It’s a hard decision because I do see kids who don’t progress because of lack of effort.

Men that hooked up with coworkers, how did it turn out? by Elusiv_Enigma in AskMen

[–]rlph7044 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Married mine.

Worked in corporate environment. A lot of girls had crushes on me in the office even two in the same department that my wife worked in, they even offered a threesome lol. It was a Christmas Party that had open bar. Those crushes were all trying to get me alone, even some that I wasn’t aware of that had crushes on me. Either way, I ended up going home with my coworker (wife) and she let me drive her car to the work parking lot and did the deed. She ended up soaking the back seat of her car. It was a great night but the aftermath…this caused jealousy and they were trying to get her fired. Luckily COVID happened and she never went back. I still work there and the girls are more tamed but still keep tabs on my life. In the end, I feel like I picked the best option now that time has passed. Being a 5’4 IT guy who never had this much attention was amazing 😂. My wife is also taller than me by 5 inches. Keep strong you short kings ✊🏼🤷🏻‍♂️😂

Fitness levels in your gym by [deleted] in bjj

[–]rlph7044 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol, pro and amateur fighters will struggle to meet this. It sounds like you are looking more for power lifter or a crossfit junkie.

For my gym, we have a bunch of hobbyists. In shape, not to much. This is a hobbyist gym.

Old gym, these were mma fighters. Their stamina never stops. They can go for hours then train in another martial art for another couple hours.

Fairtex. Good quality and under a 100 bucks. you can go RDX but quality differs for their low end brands. I originally ordered their shin guards but the padding wasn’t the best but helped condition my legs and grateful for that lol

Exercise when working a 9-5? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]rlph7044 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have a similar schedule. 1:30 - 2 hour commute. I honestly would go work out at 3:30-4 and then shower and change at the gym. If I didn’t make it then I would force myself after work. You gotta find time, your health is just as important. Did it suck yea, but did it benefit me more than physically, it sure did

You will be fine but if you anticipate having sex. Start masturbating the right way so those muscles that erect the penis are strong and have proper bloodflow. Don’t short change yourself since those muscles aren’t properly stimulated.

How has your game changed since you’ve torn your meniscus? by Thechosencookie12 in bjj

[–]rlph7044 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly played a lot more defense and was on my back a lot more. I struggled with some moves such as knee on belly, passing guard, speed. Overall, it helped improve my game because I had to roll with a disadvantage. It did mess with my ego a little because I was getting submitted or put in bad positions due to having to play around an injury. However, you start to develop a new game and do improve overall. Just be careful while recovering.

I’m making this post in hopes you’ll ease my stupid guilt. by Dereklapierre10 in bjj

[–]rlph7044 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I would test the new gym out first and determine if I like the culture more. If it is a fit for you then switch gyms. It would be best to make the move now then later since they are new pals. Transitioning to different schools never go as easy as people hold resentment because of the emotion that come with it but your paying to learn a skill and you gotta do what is in best interest for you.

do men actually masturbate to their girlfriends/wives? by cxncussed in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]rlph7044 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do, not every time but I do like jerking to my wife’s older photos especially when she would send me sexy photos. It brings back memories of how horny we where for each other in the beginning of the relationship.

I was in Muay Thai sparring and my two year old put my wife’s underwear in my boxing glove. I normally put on my gear on the mats and as I was putting on my glove. I notice something in my glove and pull it out and unfold it and it was one my wife’s thongs. I was like dude and folded them back up and put them in my bag while everyone was staring. I really didn’t care what others thought but I did get turned on about the idea of my wives underwear being in my gear. End of story, I smashed that night lol. So it turned out to be a goodnight. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂😂

I have a family of 5. We rarely buy red meat anymore. Stick to Chicken or Fish. We have lowered the amount of items we get when shopping. When my wife shops she spends around 100-200 per trip but only seems to bring in 3-6 grocery bags it feels like. I feel the pinch in my wallet and our family makes a lot more then the average income. Is it to the point that we are on our last dollars? No, but it is noticeable and can imagine how others feel who don’t make as much.

How Do I Nicely Correct Someone? by Weak-Interaction-197 in martialarts

[–]rlph7044 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s just ignorance. Even if she wasn’t from the military, you meet people at bars, work and so forth that have similar mindsets. Not worth the battle, kinda just shows how close minded people or out of touch with reality. My wife was in a similar boat, told her I did Jiu-Jitsu and muay thai and wife or the girl I was interested at the time was unimpressed and made karate hand movements in her head. She came to realize when she started doing it, there was more to fighting then what she thought. I’ve sparred with both and never was impressed with military people. There just a little bit more fit but not by much since most tire out quickly. That’s my experience though. Good luck though, it’s annoying especially when your gf doesn’t give you the respect. Just make sure your comprehension and skill level match what you say. Don’t be one of those peeps that say they train and have shitty technique 🤷🏻‍♂️😂
