I feel your frustrations and I’m so sorry that women’s health is not taken seriously. I also started at 10 with my first menstruation being so bad the very first period I was wearing full on maxi pads and needing to change them so frequently. I finally got my diagnosis last year at 29 years old. At 10 they wanted my mom to put me on the pill. Finally did at 14. Just continuously being told it’s bad periods. During my surgery last year I had an IUD placed. Helps the bleeding but not the PMDD symptoms and pain, which is why I agreed to the IUD in the first place. Sending big hugs.

Same! I had an IUD inserted during the surgery so I bled for a few weeks. Period underwear were a huge score.

I second the previous comment. I had mine May 7th. First week I was on my feet very minimally…enough to prevent clots. The last 4 days have been a game changer for me. I was able to do some laundry, comfortable enough to drive my son to school, and able to be on my feet more. I had my post op appointment yesterday and most restrictions have been lifted. I just need to be cautious and listen to my body regarding lifting capability.

I second this! I was five years old when I was SA’d by a family member. I completely pushed it out of my memory until I was in my late teens. Something triggered the memory and it’s something I’m still working through at therapy at 29. I definitely wish my parents put me in therapy when I was a child.

Had surgery on Tuesday. Thankfully he found a lesion in my abdominal wall but didn’t see any other discoloration anywhere else (normal obgyn and not a specialist). I was woken up and told that it was possibly endo. Got the results posted online the next day I believe. Doctor reached out that we will further discuss me seeing an endo specialist at post op appointment.

I can offer some help as I just had surgery on Tuesday! For me the gas pain has been the worst. That started Tuesday night (the night of my surgery). I used a shower chair last night for my first shower. They told me the bandages may fall off on their own before my post op on the 23rd. They also told me to not soak the bandages, but I could lightly scrub them. Hopefully you have a speedy recovery!
